    Hi,

I discovered today that if you unhide hidden files and pin the folder you want to look at to quick access, then when you hide hidden files again, the pinned folder still remains visible in quick access
That would amount to a bug...... Squash that thing.

    Cheers,

    Hi,
    @nighthawk:

How can I find out if it will expire in 90 days ?

    TIA,
All the recent non-watermarked builds have a Release Build EULA, and no expiry date.

LOL. Every bug you like no longer is a bug but becomes a feature.

Oops.... Did I say that ?

Yep - like I posted in the other thread about "who will be first to get Anniversary update", thousands if not millions of us already have the Anniversary update installed, running, and even updated with a cumulative update.

Now if I could just figure out why my father-in-law's computer won't upgrade. It goes to the point where it says the computer will reboot in a few moments, then a window pops up "Installation Failed".
I'm assuming (and we all know what assume does) you haven't tried to clean install because of the number of programs he doesn't want to go to the trouble of reinstalling? What about repairing his installation? I'm assuming, again, that you've already tried all the conventional things?

    Hi,

None shown in Winver so I take it this Insider Preview release won't expire after 90 days. Which should tell us something.....

    Thx, NavyLCDR.
I don't have an expiry date either.

    Hi,

    Exactly.
To paraphrase our dear Wynona , we "essentially" are having our cake while the rest of the world is still waiting.
I expect the final release to include the cumulative upgrade. We'll see how they roll it out.

And saying that I just discovered all that by accident.....
When I get bored accidents happen.... LOL.

    Cheers,
Careful what you say, sir, or you'll be taken to task.

Stays visible until you restart Explorer.

But it will stay pinned to jump lists through pinning to Quick Access:

Exactly. I discovered the exact same thing and all of them will update to 14393.5 outside of the Insider Preview program and activate. Well done.
