Don't understand that one, really. It's dated last Tuesday, 8/02. That was the AU release day. Honest, I don't know the connection with next Insider build.

Jeff is off right now. Can anyone explain that to me?
It is, TC. Cumulative Updates don't have that folder.

Just the standard greeting to link a MS account & be the first to see future upgrades & builds etc., but it does take a while for that to come up unlike all the other sections that are instant. As it is it's doing no harm but I'll see what the future holds?
I had this issue & a reboot (several actually) never fixed the issue. Googled the problem & found a solution (create Restore Point first )

    1. Go to Settings, Update & Security, Windows Update, and then to Advanced Options
    2. Select Stop Insider Preview Builds
    3. Restart your computer
    4. When the computer starts again, open Registry Editor (go to Search, type regedit, and press Enter)
    5. Navigate to the following key:

    • HKEY_Current_User > Software > Microsoft > WindowsSelfHost > Applicability
    • Delete Error State, PilotInfoRing, and LastHR entries
    • Note: some of these steps may/may not be necessary due to your situation.

    HTH.

Perhaps remnants from the Update or running MCT, been caught by surprise with that one myself!
Correct.. I forgot to do a disk cleanup after I used the MCT and that's why those folders are there.

Sorry for not getting back on this one.

Small annoying issue, has anyone else noticed this or is this happening only to me:

Skype keeps removing itself from Startup folder. I need to go to Skype settings, which still show "Start Skype when Windows starts", unselect it, save settings, back to settings and select it again. Doing this it will start automatically a few next boots, then removes it from Startup again.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean but:

when I try/use the preview version, it kills the desktop version(good so, as messages from both Skypes would drive one nuts), then the desktop version doesn't open at the next boot?

And the preview version needs to be opened after next boot(although I get message updates still when the live tile is on).

That's it! Tested now, as soon as I launched Skype UWP app, Skype desktop was removed from Startup and closed. Thanks for explaining this to me :)

You're welcome Kari, I found it irritating at first, until messages started popping up in the notification are, so then I knew the preview WAS running in the background, because the tile is pinned and turned on.
Bad would have been, if neither ran at boot.

Hmmm, I had noticed that Skype hadn't started, but thought I might have done it, since I occasionally don't want Skype running. I will watch closer now.

It's in the TaskBar as running now.
