What about "Dark theme": Unlock a secret dark theme in Windows 10 with a registry hack anybody try that yet ?
Very nice! Oddly though, to get it to work for me, I had to apply the tweak in HKLM and HKCU.
For me it changed Settings, the Network window and 3 system utilities, Calculator, Voice Recorder and Alarms.

EDIT: Use caution! It messes up a bunch of things in Spartan and then may crash your system.

    Too Ugly.
The high contrast theme may be ugly to you and me, but for those who are visually challenged, it's a godsend! I can only hope Microsoft gets it right for them.

You could use a high contrast theme.
    - neat, if you wear glasses and use Skype..
    - I look like an alien species with the reflected white pages..

I don't think the High Contrast Theme is ugly at all. You can make it as pretty as you like. Just chose the right colors. On the pictures it does not come out as good as in reality. But here is an example. You have to magnify it to see the detail.

Excuse my ignorance (and I'm sure the answer is buried somewhere in this thread), but how should I go about updating from 10049 once I have the ISO downloaded? Just run the installer? Install over this build? Must be a clean install?

Best way.... CLEAN INSTALL. Always clean install new builds if you can.
I would not mind about re-installing my programs as long as the OS works the way it should.
Sometimes people spend more time trying to fix issues on upgraded builds which take longer and more frustrating than doing a clean install.

If you want to upgrade from 49 to 56, there's Setup.exe inside ISO and it will update everything. If you want to install anew, you need to make a bootable USB or DVD and boot with it. If you didn't install too many programs and drivers, you'd be better off installing anew.

This is all that I can find to be affected by the tweak, so far. As I mentioned earlier, it messes a few things up in Spartan.
