Oh please. . . really; then those people shouldn't even have a computer. I grew up in the projects of Detroit back in the Fifi ties and Sixties at which time we couldn't even afford a TV, albeit we didn't run out and steal one. I could go on about stuff we didn't have, or could afford, however that wouldn't mean a thing. Hence, all the excuses for stealing some one else property is just saying because they are poor they have the right to steal is just total B.S.
Not talking about stealing. We're talking about putting some money away when someone doesn't have any extra money to put away. Why didn't your family skip a few meals so you could put some money away to buy a TV?

Really? I think it is called priorities. Eating is a little more important than watching TV. I was born in a low income housing project. We didn't have a lot of things other people had. But, what we did have is good values, good character and a firm grasp of what is right and wrong. No one in my family would have ever stolen anything. We were taught to get a better job or get 2 jobs if you want something you couldn't afford, which my Father did. We got out of the projects, had a TV and a few other things, and didn't take anything that belonged to others along the way.

A computer & internet service use not to be a necessary item but that is changing in the U.S. you need to use for almost everything including government assistance, access to medical stuff, social security and even some bills you have to pay online. The one thing I don't like is the cost of the internet service even economy. I think it is to high.
Even though I am not doing this, bankruptcy also requires internet access for two classes you have to take.

There are people in the US, as well as in almost any country, who do not have and have never had a computer or a smart phone. They manage to survive OK without them. Do computers and smart phones make things easier and more convenient, absolutely. Can you survive without them? Of course. Too many people do it to say otherwise.

Remember way back before personal computers?? I sure can and I was able to get through college with out one. Not everyone needs or even wants one. Heck, my parents could never see the reason to have one and for them I can understand. They functioned just fine. Didn't need it to pay bill or get any banking done.
And I don't really see why you would need one to file bankruptcy.

And if you do, like I said before, go to the public library.

You need to read the post from Lee that he posted earlier. I know what it's like being poor. My wife knows what it's like not knowing where your next meal is coming from or where they were to sleep. It bothers me when someone thinks that life is always easy.
