I find Edge to be improving as we head toward Redstone release. Since the drop of version 14261 I have been using it fairly consistently. I've installed the extensions, Adblock Plus, Lastpass and Mouse Gestures. The addition of the extensions has made, for me, Edge finally usable on a daily basis. Since I have over a hundred folders of favorites, the lack of Microsoft not yet developing a method to right click a favorites folder to open multiple favorites with one click remains a drawback. Maybe someday it will get built into Edge.

I tried Edge but did not like it. Liked the look of it, but I stick with Firefox.

The bottom line, it's all about preference.

I switched back to IE for numerous reasons! Unfortunately now when I ask Cortana a question a window pops up and basically says I have to use Edge.
How do I train Cortana to use IE?

I think Cortana has to use Edge.

OK, I won't play MS's silly games, now, how can I divorce Cortana?

    You can disable cortana

Or just not have the search box appear and open firefox and search directly from there.
I really wish we didn't have to use registry hacks to customise our computers, but that's the way it is.

I believe you can get Cortana to use IE for search by going into Edge settings>Advanced settings>Scroll down to "Optimize taskbar web search results for screen reader" and turn the switch on, then Cortana will use IE for web searches.
