New VLC private beta version released, includes Xbox and HoloLens support

Read more: http://winbeta.org/news/new-vlc-priv...lolens-supportMicrosoft regional director and developer of the Windows version of VLC, Thomas Nigro, sent out a tweet this morning revealing that the closed beta for the new Universal Windows Platform version of VLC has begun and that this upcoming version would support Windows 10 Mobile, PC, Xbox One, and Microsoft’s HoloLens.
No release date has been announced yet but it is exciting to know that the app has taken its next step towards release.
I had e-mailed VLC directly and finally got a reply after about a week (i am sure they are very busy over there) it was from one of the developers...he said the general release for the new version of VLC UWP will be sometime during this summer...exact date unknown at this time...probably whenever they feel it is ready for it...
