    Just like to say, that Samsung is not the only one. They are on the slow side regarding updates, but HP, Dell etc. are not much better.

    Here is an article from Nov. 2015, so some half year old, about HP and Dell doing the same as Samsung

    I don't suggest that this is a good practice, just that Samsung isn't that special.
