    You may not realize it.
    You actually prove my point..........................
who cares about the icon and the colour of its file holder. Waste of "Bleeping" time.

    Each to his own.
I will never let my staffs wasting time on trivial while there are more important and urgent matters to attend to.
You have a much smaller staff than MS and they can spend the time and money on ICONs.

    No disrespect is intended.
I, however, question your concept of labour management. Rules of labour control apply to both businesses large and small.
Perhaps you do not run a business ?

I actually worked in IT and as a project manager and if my business partner/customer wanted an ICON changed it would get done. I question if you really understand that MS has a department that works on graphics for their line of products and doing this would be part of their daily jobs. And the update to the OS would simply require moving a file. That's the beauty of one code source for the entire line of OS's.

I think I like that one from build 10130 the best.

Meh. Neither old, current nor new looks great, IMO. I rarely use WE (FreeCommander is the file manager I rely on). The Classic Shell menu is the only place the icon will appear and it's very small there, so it won't matter much what it looks like.

Um, just because somebody changed the file folder icon, doesn't mean somebody else isn't fixing bugs right? Microsoft do have more than one employee right?

I sure hope so... If I could do things like that as a project manager than I think MS sure can.
