Petition Calls for Investigation on Microsoft’s Forced Windows 10 Upgrades
Users turn against Microsoft for its upgrade practices
Read more: http://news.softpedia.com/news/petit...ampaign=bufferMicrosoft’s aggressive Windows 10 upgrade strategy might be paying off because more users are switching to the new OS, but there are also customers who are very angry with this approach and now are turning against the company.
A petition on change.org calls for the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) to start an investigation on Microsoft because it forces users to move to Windows 10 and sometimes upgrades their computers without them giving their consent.
“Microsoft's practices with their newest operating system, named Windows 10, has been ignorantly unethical at best and malicious at worst,” the petition reads.
At this point, about 600 people have signed the petition which has a goal of 1,000, and this is very likely to be reached given the fact that it’s quickly spreading across the web on social media. Microsoft hasn’t yet commented on this petition and the chances are that the company will ignore it completely.
The Petition:
Have the EFF investigate Microsoft for malicious practices regarding Windows 10

The problems begin with the upgrades. Reports everywhere state that people are being tricked or forced into upgrading to Windows 10 from their current, preferred version of Windows.
Finally, at least two people finally get it. I went back to Windows 7 on my desktop, after first trying a full version of Windows 10 Pro. I don't like upgrades. So I don't have direct skin in the game. However, I know the down time I had going to Windows 10. Particularly with drivers etc, and mine was planned out. I can't imagine having your machine start to update, you come in planning to work only to find you have to wait on a rollback. For some machines this can be a long time. Not to mention having to check all your data, programs etc after it's over.
Additionally, I've seen where Windows immediately starts nagging you again to upgrade. Microsoft needs to remember that people use computers to actually work. Yes, lots of us dork around on the internet in our spare time, but many web developers, software developers, home business owners etc. actually use their machines for their jobs, and time is money. Screwing with anybody's machine without their permission is a definite no. If it has not happened, expect lawsuits soon by someone saying the down time cost them a client, contract, or something of that nature.
For shure is Malware. Windows is Preveting, Blocking the USER to use the computer in great areas. That is the case with the Command "SendKeys" of USER32 API , it is not working anylonger in Win 10. Disabling "EnableLUA" in Registry all Metro App does not work, neither the Settings of "Sign-In" after "Wake-up" are woking, is keeping asking Password, does not matter what you have choiced. With UAC enabled, 3.rd party Networking Software is simply Blocked, no Network there. But the most Horrible is that with "EnableVirtualization", that means Windows is peeking up all the files from the Folder "Program Files" and make a copy of it in user´s Folder, under "VirtualStore", so there are 2 Places with the same files, double, and Windows is woking with the copy but the Application is working with original files, so complety mismatch. Also in a Network enviroment, that behaviour is the last someone could imagine.
Even if I install the SOftware in an external Medium, Windows still takes the "Ownership" of that external Medium. That is the Devil!
People are happy , not realising of what is going on the background, the do not know tha Windows is making and Working and Redirecting almost everything to that Hidden Copy. Is fouling all the world.
That's not exactly the same thing. Those that were conned into upgrading to Win 10 are not going to buy it anyhow. MS needs to learn that they can't force people to accept something they don't want. I don't know how much effect the petition will have but it will show MS that people are not willing to let them do what ever they please.
