Wow! It's unbelievable how slow Lappy is updating compared to the desktop! And Lappy is the newer machine.

I turned it on yesterday to do some stuff, not even thinking about Build 14342. Now it's taking forever and three days. I can only surmise that it's the use of the SSD drive in the desktop that makes it so much faster.
    Ya think?

    Same here.

I've had no "real" issues in ages. I have some minor annoyance with Taskbar but that's caused by my odd habits (dual display, vertical Tasbar only on secondary display which causes Taskbar to jump back to primary display after switching user), and that my laptop does not shutdown completely (I need to shutdown by restarting first, then shutting down from Welcome screen, this seems to be more an Asus than Windows issue).

A happy and satisfied Windows 10 user here :)
It just seems that there are still some comps that are Jonahs. I am very pleased that my four win 10 comps are not in that category.

I've also helped quite a few other comps and laptops over to the 'other side' and, thankfully, I have not had any problems with them either.

UPDATE 5/18: Today Microsoft is releasing Build 14342 to Windows Insiders in the Slow ring. With this build, Insiders in the Slow ring can check out the new features coming with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update including Windows Ink, updated Start, and more. We are also releasing an update for this build (KB3158988) that fixes the issue that occurs where you can’t close Microsoft Edge or get context menus to work if you turn off all extensions without uninstalling them. It also includes a couple of fixes for some issues causing some devices to bugcheck (Bluescreen). ISOs coming soon!

Can anyone type anything on Cortana search? I just noticed now that I can't. Did something change that I missed?

Edit: @JimWiz1 , I discovered the culprit. KB3158988 (Cumulative Update) didn't seem to install properly. I uninstalled it and cortana search worked right away. But after downloading and installing it again, everything is fine now.
