One would think so. I just can't wait for Aug 1st when all the people who missed the free upgrade come and complain that MS didn't give them enough time.

Yes, but why wait until Aug. 1st when they have the whole weekend to complain. Shouldn't take 2 extra days to figure out you missed the boat!

I'll be content with the Get Windows 10 stuff being done and dead.

I bet there will be a few that will wait till zero hour, try it and it fails, then cry foul when the clock ticks over.

I was consedering to Upgrade to Win10 and then roll back to win 8.1, but I do not want to risk to stay with a unusable win 8.1.
I spend 12 whole days trying to fix the Slow Boot with a Black screen (5 minutes!) and a not responsive OS.
That was as misterious thing, I do not know exactly what was the reason. Suddenely there was come a Memory Dump message from Windows that I never saw it before and error is gone.
I have no time for that "games".

Clean installing Windows 8.1 is relatively easy. You can get install media here that will read and use OEM embedded keys, even Windows 8.0 keys. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/soft...nload/windows8
Or make an image of your current install before you do the upgrade.
Or create you factory recovery media, if you haven't already.

Clean Install means that I have to install all Software again. Alone MS Filght Simulator with World Maps are 8 full DVD! It is taking a very long Time to install, so far I recall several hours.
Yes, the only possibilty is to recover from System Image, but as I said I spent last 12 days trying to fix a unknown problem and I am full of it.
Win 8.1 was taking 5 Minutes (300 Seconds) to load, now it takes 19 seconds, from Power Pressing until the full Desktop is fully loaded.
That is a huge difference. I will not break it.
Anyway Win 10 is not for me, I need the "Old Calculator" from windows and several things else.
    I am sorry.

Several hours seems like a lot shorter time than 12 days. I know which one I would have chosen. It's totally up to you but at some point you have to throw in the towel and get things fixed. It doesn't matter what version of Windows it is, if it's not working right you fix it. Sometimes the only way to do that is to start all over from scratch with a clean install. Just my 2 cents.

Right, 12h is shorter than 12d. I did not know before that it would take so long. Normally such kind of things would be solved in question of several hours.
I have too many Software installed and to install all that would be the last I would like to do, such decision would only come in consideration in case of a HDD failure .

I think it is pointlees that "World Wide Pressure" to upgrade to Win10.
On my other PC /Win 8.1, after a Windows Update I had a folder on the HDD with Windows advise of ending of offer. I deleted it at once.
I would be very much gratefull if MS stops with this, I do not want to upgrade to Win10, I refuse a Win UWP app OS, I need a pure win32 OS.
That´s it, most of people do not want to got to UWP.
But Windows 10 is a pure Win32 OS that also runs UWP. I like UWP for some things because they are great for simple tasks. My favorite is NFL Sunday ticket where I don't want to search for Sunday ticket on the website. I just click the Sunday Ticket and click the steelers game an it's on the screen. I see lots of arguments of people saying there aren't enough apps in the Windows store.
