Something I have never seen or experienced, never even heard about it happened today: Installing 14332 PRO x64 EN-GB on a spare old laptop, totally wiped and empty HDD, booting from install media (flash drive), I got BSOD maybe 5 seconds after starting the laptop, even before this dialog was shown:I've never seen BSOD to happen at that point, only seconds after booting from install media, with no OS installed on system!

BSOD, the new one with the QR code remained only a few seconds, machine rebooted, gave the same second time, again a reboot and this time installation started normally and I had no issues in installing and setting up Windows.
That's right Kari. I think the old hardware has nothing to do with the BSOD because it also happened to my 4790K build. But I also think that it's a minor problem because it seems to fix itself without even trying to do anything. I had a rough start with 14332 but it is stable right now.

Fellow geeks, for those interested in an alternative way to create and manage customized Windows 10 install images (quote from Ten Forums tutorial Windows 10 Image - Customize in Audit Mode with Sysprep - Windows 10 Forums):

For those interested I will show the whole process told in this tutorial in a live demonstration in a Ten Forums Online Meeting. The event will start Saturday 30-APR-2016 at 20:00 (8 PM) CEST (Central European Summer Time), 18:00 (6 PM) UTC.

Check the start time in your local time zone here:

Meeting will be a Skype for Business online meeting, you can join with text chat or audio and webcam, as you wish. No participation from your side is necessary, if you want to just watch and listen it's totally OK. The demonstration will take about an hour, with Q&A. Afterwards we will continue off topic as in our traditional TF Saturday Live Chats :)

You do not need a Ten Forums, Skype, Skype for Business, Microsoft or any other account to join as a guest. You can join from any browser or use the Windows Lync App, see tutorial: Lync App - Join an Online Meeting as Guest - Windows 10 Forums

The meeting will go online half an hour before the start, at which point the link to the meeting will be posted in this thread.

It is, but it leads you to a website, where you can only dl a six months old standard TH build (General release)

But no chance to keep data and settings, when trying to "downgrade"...
Seems the only chance to keep everything, is to wait for a better working Insider preview...
Guess things have changed then. Used to be, when you stopped Insider builds, it automatically put you back to the latest General Release.

As far as I remember, some time ago, there was a warning that if you abandon testing and leave Insider program you have to reinstall regular version.

Correct.. just check out the winver information and the current insider build will deactivate in July.

The assumption is that when you're participating in the insider program you'll continue to get new builds and that date will not matter. To keep getting updates it's necessary to go back to the regular version, 10586.

My wife got a Notebook so I've been setting up a server with NAS4Free on her old PC. The jargon is pretty daunting but I found some good websites with install guides so I'm up and running.

My tuppence worth on 14332: The only issue at the moment is that EDGE closes if I right click in EDGE.

Simrick, my understanding is that if I've deleted windows.old, then there's no way for me to go back to any former version.

Also, IIRC, we were told we'd "have to go back to" the RTM, so to speak.

And now you know why a large percentage of us aren't using Edge yet. :)

My guess is that the new insider builds will stay active until RS2 comes out.
