It's strange. I can save my password for this site with no issues. And I haven't done anything special to get Edge to work.
this most recent update is what killed my ability to save passwords with Edge; its worked fine for that for me on the last several OS releases..

Well, I did confirm that edge wont save passwords no matter what I try; once I close it, and open it, the saved password is gone again..

my unscientific poll of everyone I know on windows 10 says that 90% of people dont use it, for its nothing but problems..

sure, its probably fine for use on this forum, if thats all you use it for, but, to use it for all your browsing needs at this point, its by no means the "preferred" choice for anyone that I know...
Yeah, you were the only one :).

You can count me in that 90 %. I'm using FF, but I tried Edge and it was good enough for this forum. Other sites don't behave this well

I really do want to use it as my main browser, so hopefully the next build gets closer to something that is more useable to most folks.
For me, if it would just save passwords like it used to, would get me to use it alot more..

Has anyone else noticed uninstalled apps like Get Office and Phone Companion being reinstalled upon every reboot in this build? It's weird, because I'll uninstall them, reboot and then they're back.

As far as I remember, some time ago, there was a warning that if you abandon testing and leave Insider program you have to reinstall regular version.

Simrick, my understanding is that if I've deleted windows.old, then there's no way for me to go back to any former version.

Also, IIRC, we were told we'd "have to go back to" the RTM, so to speak.
Back, way back, you were advised you would have to reinstall Windows if you left the Insider program. If I remember correctly, this was before RTM. After RTM, people were leaving the Insider program, and their system was automatically rolling them back to RTM. Now that we are past RTM, I assumed it would roll you back to GR. But, as you say Wynona, if there's no Windows.old, there's nothing to roll back to.

Haven't tried this, and won't, but if you have an old system image, native or Macrium or such, you should be able to restore it. Would be the same as not having turned your machine on for a long time.

Just because theres nothing to roll back to is no excuse, we're connected to servers, if they can download previews, they can download the last stable release just as easily. I'm a little bit annoyed with the problem I'm having with 14316, I'm not getting 14328 or 14332 and I cant even go back to the last stable release without having to jump through hoops.

And before people start saying do a clean install, I dont want to do a clean install, all I want is to either go forward or go to the last stable release, surely im not asking for anything much.

BillyBob, see my post above. You might be a good candidate to try it. Backup what you have first.

Unfortunately I dont have a system image, thing is I dont really need one as my system is running well enough, all I need is to get updates, which I'm not. Either let me go forward or to the last stable release, not hard.

Something I have never seen or experienced, never even heard about it happened today: Installing 14332 PRO x64 EN-GB on a spare old laptop, totally wiped and empty HDD, booting from install media (flash drive), I got BSOD maybe 5 seconds after starting the laptop, even before this dialog was shown:I've never seen BSOD to happen at that point, only seconds after booting from install media, with no OS installed on system!

BSOD, the new one with the QR code remained only a few seconds, machine rebooted, gave the same second time, again a reboot and this time installation started normally and I had no issues in installing and setting up Windows.
Fascinating...;) (I really should not put a smiley there!) I've been toying with giving 332 a spin again...but...I'm waiting on my complete backup of my 14316 installation to complete. I've been in-place reinstalling 14316 2-3 times in the hopes of rectifying any possible problem in the driver store that is making these further builds (328 & 332) problematic on my hardware...so I finally got what I think is a stable 316--stable enough to back up and restore if I need it.

I've never seen anything like you relate, either! Can't say that I'm all that much surprised, though--these recent builds are Buggy...Going to give 332 another shot...(glutton for punishment, here)
