With due respect my days of beta testing are long gone since Windows 7 " first of all I have no time, second of all their a hundreds within design and engineering Windows development teams who are running these previews months ahead of time before the public gets any of these insiders beta previews " to be very honest with each and everyone of you I personally don't see any reason or benefit in testing or loading any of these beta's or previews that's just me, and many others....

I respect the fact if you like the Insiders program and enjoy all these beta's don't get me at all wrong please.

It just doesn't cut it for me and there is really nothing at all for me in these beta versions " just a personal insight of one member"

I respect if you like them and I respect the folks who feel and see it how I see it also

July 30 2016 is not far out of reach for your major wave release of Windows 2016 :)
I get it .......don't matter.... I didn't like working at job like or same type tasks off work either and wouldn't have had the time for all or any of this before I retired anyway.

I have 10586th2 on same NTFS HDD if I get fed up with any particular test build anyway and I keep any decent more recent ISO of these and delete the older & problem ones .

Only reason I joined Insiders was to see Windows 10 6 or 7 mo. before it came out anyway although I have figured a couple of minor solutions to some things along the way and got the nod from maybe two MS engineers on a couple of them on the Insider forums but any number of millions of users have done the same thing many times also......... it ain't no big thing .

Now that the novelty is off I just wanna see the new rs1 things and features as they appear here before general release now and TBH the rs1 builds are at a minimum splitting hairs faster here than 10586th2 when they behave

I figured out the Windows 10 memory & HDD I/O throughput on Pass mark x64 (on the same NTFS metal HDD ) is significantly slower than 7 x64 and showed a declining trend or no improvement since 10029 through my last variance test maybe at very most a few mo. back or one of the first rs1 builds .

As one would expect with these results on spinning metal multiple file enumeration can be slower also .

As you can imagine the MS fanboy trippers and MS storm troopers were not to happy when some of us posted our benchmarks @Windows Insiders with discussions with each new biuld and the storm troopers wouldn't comment on all that anyway and some our posting got deleted and some of the prominent insurrectionists got banned I even caught some of that love for a good while they are a one way street there !

FWIW this I/O throughput depreciation from 7 x64 on Passmark x64 was present in 10240 RTM and is also present in 10586th2 and more than likely this rs1 build like the last one I checked

Maybe I'll benchmark a current build against 7 x64 and post it here ....I still have my data and the variances

That being said W 10 seems plenty snappy for casual use ,browsing and most other things including the usual workstation brutality and some media re encoding here and PC gaming at 1080p Ultra @ high settings with a d/GPU @ DX 11- DX11.2

Maybe the ram compression page file & some code optimization has something to do with all that .

^^^ All that could be clever in a way if that's true considering the extra burden of the x86 runtime apps + notifications, live tiles ,and Cortanna and all that and ( outside of some driver conflicts ) the new audio and video stacks & clear text sharpness are significantly better than anthing before Windows 10 from MS

DX 12 may not be all that from what I hear (and read here ) but I don't have any DX 12 games or DX 12 API patches and couple of the games are 2016 major releases and some of the credible game sites outside the tech editor shills like @Cnet etc, ain't liking DX12 much . .

Independent You tube DX12 professional game-play uploads ain't showing me anthing remarkable about DX 12 on my Sony 4K HDR TV that can read HDR@ 2160p /60 4:4:4 and 4K you tube etc, with it's embedded android TV system or HDMI that doesn't miss anthing or any detail even up-scaling 1080p you cant see the pixels at 2 ft at all on the 55" screen\

It ain't all that fast for PC gaming we do that a 2013 1080p Sony with exceptionally low input lag in another room with the W.S./game box & d/GPU & G27 wheel anyway but it's fine for console slave gaming

Microsoft is surely aware that we Insiders know how to deal with ESD file. But yeah, this one is a surprise.
Of course to convert esd to so, you need to already be on program and getting the updates. For unclear reasons, updates do not always arrive or "get stuck" necessitating tricks to force an upgrade.

So releasing an iso on even just on the slow ring enables anybody to get up to date without any hassle.

It's also a great way for people to join the program faster rather than having to wait for the update to take place.

all those days or beta testing are gone years ago for me, have no time and there wont be any major break through on any more helpful features for the PC Desktop, you will see all these new features strictly geared and designed for Mobile and a little on the Surface platform but not much for the PC Desktop after July 30 2016 and don't expect too much for the PC Desktop in new features for the Windows 2017 major wave th4 strictly mobile and tablet only

Well,., let's wait for RS1 to see what's coming then RS2.. that's the path that MS is on now and not TH4.

On a side note, I've been using the insider build for a while as my primary and it's as stable for me as the production version.
