Only problem so far with 142945 was shutting down last night.... The shutdown blue screen with the moving dot circle was up for hours and the PC never shut off the reset button seemed to fix it and the next shutdown & cold boot worked normally .

I've had that happen one time before but it clears up and never happens again for me at least,

In earlier preview(only) builds that would happen in my Hyper-V Insider VM. When I used to use VMware-player-7.1.2-2780323, That never happened. It was only the initial auto reboot after installation, but before "We have some new...".

I've seen that with Vista and 7 as well as for 10 over the years. Often some update will be partially hung and then simply clean up once the initial restart is seen to finish up the install. And... well that snipping tool problem still hasn't shown up at all on the main!
That's the Home VM now getting the latest while still looking over at the main!

Yep, a hard shut down & new start always cleans it up, so PendingFileRename's can complete, and the OS loads as it should.
This is for less advanced users not you Night Hawk:)
PendingFileRenameOperations
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
Stores the names of files to be renamed when the system restarts.
This entry consists of pairs of file names. The file specified in the first item of the pair is renamed to match the second item of the pair. The system adds this entry to the registry when a user or program tries to rename a file that is in use. The file names are stored in the value of this entry until the system is restarted and they are renamed.

My WiFi icon is still showing as disconnected even though it isn't. I can fix it by
running the trouble shooter but it just returns after reboot. I submitted the bug.

I wouldn't count anything out since the TH2 update is what saw the file, folder rename problem come up. As for the initial bug with the 7 on Hyper-V problem I ran into on the test build the web connection couldn't be made while the home network was plainly connected to. The incoming and outgoing would show a small bit for the incoming only and nothing outgoing while in the Network&Sharing.
So for the 7 vm upgrade to 10 project following the second case's update to the 14295 the Hyper-V got put out to pasture and brought in the WS 12 Player to replace the previous VM Player 7.1.2 updated in December to 7.1.3 while no longer found at the VMware site the WS Player and Player Pro replaced the VM Player and Player Pro options back in Sept. So even on VM you can run into issues.
You could probably try the System File Checker and still end up getting nowhere with that. 10 is still a bit in between where the last beta stages met the RC builds back before 7 launched and SP1 showed up in early 2011. While we are past the first big one being the first hurdle of beta to RC we seem to be pre RTM at this time compared to the one year average wait for most bugs to be worked out with most not all(keeping ME. XP in mind) versions.

Hooray! 14295 is just downloading, I missed 14291 completely.
