Stiil trying to debug the sound problem being seen on this build. May have to dump everything and see both drivers and software go on fresh since the only time any of the sounds go off is only while WMP is running it seems. All other sound is working normally except for the Windows sounds. When in the Sounds tab none sound off at all.

Who knows maybe a new Insider fast ring build tomorrow afternoon or eve. or something like that ......somebody maybe said this one made it to the slow ring already so they probably done with it in the fast ring already anyway and want to give us new broken things to holler about

Well I know "Redstone 1" is scheduled for the first anniversary of 10's launch date! There's another little item like Bash console working on 10 as well as being able to run Ubuntu not just any other distro however. Ubuntu (not Linux) on Windows: How it works | ZDNet

Right ....I read something briefly about that Windows Linux Ubuntu or whatever Ubuntu thing but I didn't study it well .
I Haven't quite figured out how that Ubuntu thing is going to work with Win 10 or within Windows 10 if thats the case I need to study all that .
I get the impression it's more Ubuntu or ubuntu /unity on Windows ( somehow ) than Linux Ubuntu beside or within the Windows healthy partition like Linux Ubuntu 12.04 /Wubi
I'm Not sure how thay are going to monetize all that with the Linux crowd being what it is and the majority of Windows broad market consumer users being clueless PC wise but that ultimately has to be the end game strategy ..
I had Ubuntu 12.04 lts dual booting on a win 7x 64 hdd it worked fine I have 14.04 LTS on an extra hdd by itself now haven't used it much lately but ubuntu is great among other things for the drive tools you can recover files and folders from a windows hdd that wont load windows in a snap or scan a windows drive and sometimes fix errors .
Some of the Linux fanboys are pissed they are saying Canonical is selling out to the devil for the money and they are all about trashing the new thing with Windows but money doesn't talk it shouts
I never did get behind the rabid apple or linux fanboy thing.
operating systems are just tools and linux has it's pluses and minus and O SX is nix based anyway .
Apple never invented much of anything they just timed mobile very well and marketed it successfully and established a profitable ( interestingly by proxy ) slave labor supply chain and cost effective BOM and over charged the fanboys & girls for their suddenly a status symbol fruity phones ,excellent business case and business opportunity study on how to come back from the dead .
You all probably know they say Gates maybe copyrighted DOS from Xerox Parc after they shelved it and maybe did something else either ruthless and shady or both with a partner or another company about all that DOS stuff and Apple got the GUI and mouse legally from Xerox Parc and they had that shelved also .
They say Gates appropriated all that mouse/GUI idea to some extent for Windows maybe when they were writing code for Apple and Jobs blew a gasket about it at the time .
Some would say Gates was a ruthless monopolistic opportunist and Jobs was bigger Idea thief than Edison

I think Microsoft wants to win over Linux talent and make them somewhat dependent on MS Windows for development tools (Ubuntu Visual Studio, Ubuntu.NET, perhaps), which are probably going to be faster, more convenient tools and enable linux Ubuntu to be more creative. And of course a 2-way process where Windows and Linux development go hand in hand to make serious applications (not just apps) that are cross-platform and interoperable. Eventually favourite games will be just as familiar on a linux console as on xbox, with MS getting a share of the profits on both platforms.

And still end up seeing.....

On the web in general when going to look up Windows 10 and regardless of the MS page you come across I have run into that a number of times. One method for preserving a build I found and actually tested here that works besides trying to download from any random site or converting esd or wim files to ISO format is simply to "Shake and Bake" the existing sub folders already unpacked to the drive!
Generally either the BT or WS folders will see "$Windows~ BT or WS\Sources\Windows" with all seeing the Panther sub to be ignored. The contents can be saved to the Insider Build # folder on a separate drive if needed in order to see an upgrade if you need a fresh TH2 update install into the preferred newer build. All you do then is run the setup.exe file to upgrade into that build. The MC Tool will take care of downloading the TH2 again if needed for an iso.
Here the problem so far only one seen since the TH2 got buggy is needing WMP running in order to hear any Windows assigned sounds since that part of the sound section part of Windows was lost when moving up from the last build. The next build should be able to see that small urk cleaned up fast however.

right I just swipe (actually copy) a new test build out the $ WINDOWS.~BT >sources folder and if I need it later for any number of reasons like I have now and then..... I just decrypt it and mount the ISO or make install media and I keep a copy [off] this NTFS partition just in case Windows wont load to fetch it .
Note to anybody ........you have to get that out the $BT folder (copy it ) before a restart install Windows ---- WU routine
