I think Cliff S is saying that's the type of screen he wants to see when installing Windows 10. I would prefer a screen like that also. The spinning dots don't tell you anything.
The old way and way Linux does it is totally verbose, line by line as it's being installed with dots behind the line that show progress of that file.
When I install a program or even the OS I like to know what's going on. IMO if a problem arises it just may help to fix it if you know where in the install the problem happened.
