Well, Imgur Up-loader for FF also doesn't work. EDIT: Seems like the two addons that I use are not supported by Pale Moon.. if anyone can find good substitutes I'll give this test another try.

    TIA... :)

    BunnyJ,
You need to reinstall an old version of some add-ons, I did when I was trying Palemoon. Some older add-ons versions may not be available. You might want to edit your last post and remove that one add-on, we are not allowed to talk about that add-on on these forums.

The first one actually works, but no icons or other indications are shown.
I thought that it was broken, but then I started to see "We notice you're running ..." popups on some sites.
Once I disabled it in the Add-ons tab, I started getting swamped with ads.

I've never used the other Add-on you mentioned.

The latest FF update (on Linux Mint) took out my replacement Bookmark Deduplicator Add-on.
The previous one I used had been "taken out" last year.

Of course Mozilla still won't fix the Bookmark Manager (or add de-duplication functionality to it).

    1. Done.. I fogots..
    2. Tried to reinstall both but neither worked for me. The first one is not an issue and I guess the second one isn't either since I can use a workaround. But, in the end I'll stick with either FF or WaterFox x64. They both use the two addons that I like.

    Thanks ..

    BunnyJ,

I prefer Firefox myself. It seems the fastest of all browsers I have tried both on windows and Linux (Just for reference).

I keep Google Chrome because some flash sites work better with that browser.

I feel the same way.. I use Chrome for things like programming and Google searches on topics related to that. Right now I use it for C#. It's easier for me to separate the two things so I don't end up with a mess in one browser.

Of the 64 bit FF derived browsers I've had the best luck with Cyberfox. I've been using it for some time. But to be honest, I don't really see any speed improvement over 32 bit FF 36.0. Granted I'm only on a Laptop with 2 GB ram.

Waterfox for some reason always got hung up on this Laptop. I think I only tried one usable build. Pale Moon is ok. But for me since 36.0 was released, there's no reason not to use FF 32 bit 36.0. It seems to be rid of most of the quirks that were introduced in the 30+ releases. It runs fast and stable for the most part.

I liked CometBird 32 bit. But by the time I found out about it the developer had given up chasing version numbers.

I tried a few of the 64 bit nightly builds. But there was always some hassle with AddOns. Cyberfox is very compatible as far as AddOns.

Firefox 64-bit Developer Edition is very nice...sweet, even. It's much more polished and clean around the edges than Nightly, and has more developer-friendly features than Nightly--and that's because it's officially out of beta--even though it is still being improved on a daily basis just like any other out-of beta version of Firefox. Now we're talking, Mozilla...

If you were using Firefox x86 (as I was), the correct install procedure for the x64 DE is a) uninstall Firefox x86, but do not delete your x86 Firefox profile (which you'd have to manually so if you do nothing then it will still be there after ff x86 is uninstalled through Programs & Features), then install x64 DE, and on the initial x64 DE page that comes up, choose to "allow x64 & x86 versions of FF to share profiles" (because the x64 default is that it creates its own profile from scratch) and, Bingo! All of your x86 ff bookmarks, passwords, cookies, etc. are automatically loaded into the x64 DE. Works splendidly. x64 DE is now my default and only Mozilla browser installed.

I'm very leery of Google because of Google update and some other things--whereas with FIrefox I can choose when to check for updates and many other things, Google insists on doing all of that automatically whether I like it or not. Google update, for instance, runs every time your system boots and if you run msconfig and tell the program not to start on boot--well, it runs *anyway*--just like nasty malware... Frankly, I've found there are several things that Google Chrome does (even gmail) without asking my permission about and so that is why I don't care for Chrome. Google is an invasive company and it seems they are getting worse and more strident about that every day.

You should also be able to run FFDE and FF side by side.

Waltc, No need to uninstall the firefox x86 release version. Just download the 64 bit developer version. Install it. Choose default profile for x86 firefox when opening up the x86 release version and developer default profile for the developer 64 bit version when opening up the developer version.
