Microsoft has some big features coming to the Windows 10 Redstone development branch that will be announced at Build 2016, according to reports. Several leaks about upcoming Redstone features have surfaced, but no detailed plans for what Redstone has in store have been revealed.

Finally getting to play with new #Windows10 features. You are all gonna FREAK OUT when you see this 😁

    — Rich Turner (@richturn_ms) March 16, 2016

On Twitter, a couple of Microsoft’s program managers, Rich Turner and Scott Hanselman, have made comments alluding to some Windows 10 Redstone features that will cause Windows Insiders to “freak out.”

Rich Turner is a Senior Program Manager on Microsoft’s Windows team and works on command line tools, and Scott Hanselman is the Principal Program Manager and Community Architect on the Azure Application Platform and Tools team, so the “freak out” features might be developer-related.

These features (I know what this is because I'm helping) are going to CHANGE EVERYTHING. No joke. You can't even. https://t.co/lST4YhBn2u

    — Scott Hanselman (@shanselman) March 17, 2016

Unfortunately, neither Turner, nor Hanselman have revealed what specific Redstone features they are referring to in their tweets. The only Windows 10 Redstone features that we know of are improvements to Cortana and Edge Browser Extensions that should be released sometime later this year.

Build would show the potential future of windows 10,as always has been. When 8.1 was around the corner(don't remember which year),they showed start menu that we use currently in Windows 10.

The only thing that will make me "freak out" is if MS stops their useless BS of trying to "auto update" my perfectly fine Windows 7 boxes to an unwanted (at this time) version of Windows 10 here at the house.

    Agreed 100% BUT!

Avoiding the coercive attempts by M$ to advance their W-10 agenda will be a prolonged process because more than likely your W-7/8.1 OS is infected with the malware-like KB3035583 update and it is almost impossible to get rid of all the remnants.

None of our machines have any of these updates on them. My crusade to block Win 10 started long ago (last fall) - by moving all machines to Win 7 Enterprise and turning all Windows updates to manual mode..

Good for you. I wish I had realized the implications many months ago so I have been playing catch-up ever since. Still have a few registry entries related to the upgrade process that I am not quite sure haw to get rid of. I believe I can manage it but I must be on a constant watch. It's like a nagging infection that I can't seem to get rid of.

Give this a whirl. If it cannot make you whole again - not sure what will:

    Prevent Windows 10 Upgrade
