I think the big difference here is that you are using a laptop. Maybe the same case with Lee.
I use all of my SSDs just for OS on my 2 desktops. Data goes to HDDs and NAS drives.
Same here. I have 3 internal SSD's each with a different OS installed on them. W7 HP, W8.1 Pro & W10 TP. For data backup I have 2 internal WD Caviar black HDD's, with 3 older reserve spinners that I do monthly data backups on.

Only two of the computers with SSDs are notebooks. The other one is a big desktop. The point is each computer has different needs and configurations, hence the different sizes.

For laptops with 1 disk bay, a bigger SSD is in order. But my desktops I have run for years on 60GB SSDs and never ran out of space. With tosay's prices I would buy 120GB for $69 but when I bought my first 60GB OCZ, I paid $265.

SSDs are the definitely the way to go. I have 2 SSDs. One is 240 GB that I'm planning on installing in my laptop when I upgrade it to Windows 10. The other one is 250 GB that is in my desktop with Windows 8.1.1 installed. Windows 10 is installed in a 250GB partition on my HDD. When 10 goes final I going to upgrade over my 8.11 install and delete the 250 GB partition on the HDD. If the prices are right I might buy a 500 GB SSD for my desktop and put the 250 GB SSD into my wife's laptop.

Of course it would but I couldn't justify the expense, not to mention there is something just wrong about buying a drive that costs as much or more than the machine it is going into.

I'm going to keep watching for the prices to drop. If the price gets low enough I'll be upgrading my SSD when I upgrade to Windows 10. I'm very happy with my Samsung 840 EVO so I'll probably go with another Samsung if I do.
