Sort of, Andre. I'm using O365 ProPlus for Business First Release. As I understand it, the "Insider Version" of O365 pertains to O365 Home. Which may or may not equate to the same thing as First Release. At any rate, we business users aren't able to join the Insider Program, but with First Release, we get to go to the front of the line. :)

I just checked and I'm on version 16.0.6741.2014, which was released on March 8. However, having said that, it could well be that O365 hadn't updated on my computer before the clean install. It sometimes takes a few days before an O365 update will automatically happen. Which sort of makes sense . . . If there's a flaw in this "First Release" version, it could well have shown up for the first time with my installation of O365 32 bit.

I'll check my Yammer account and see if there are some conflicts with this latest version of O365 and/or Build 14279 happening.

Looks like the old "Bit happens" is on the loose!
Yes, Bit definitely happens. I think that you are a version or two behind. Since my Insider version in temporary retired, we can check here a few threads down. Plus version is (or should be) on safe side. You are somewhere in between. My Office 2016 plus is 16.0.4312. But 365 version is not locked down to safe release.

Well, looks like you are ahead.

I've been having random freezing in 14279 rs1 where the mouse pointer disappears and turns into something that looks like a capital I ( just like when you hover over text in a forum post here ) It becomes unresponsive for something ~ less than 30 sec . the KB is unresponsive also before the mouse pointer re appears .

This happens in Chrome 64 & also happens occasionally in file explorer or photo viewer ,Groove Music ,etc . ,it's random and more frequent when multitasking and or using multiple browsing tabs and or apps. Anybody else see this it's more frequent than prior builds and just to note I haven't done a clean install in a good while and have been doing update installs of the Insider builds ?

The new login screen should not say the Numlock is on or off unless the wrong pin or password is entered. Otherwise its OK with new animation effects but not an earthshaking improvement. I don't like the user picture embedded in what might be a custom background.
I hope a new build will be released to the Fast Ring before next Friday but according to buildfeed
    10.0.14288.1000

    is two days old

Did you meant Capslock? Don't think I've ever seen Numlock warning. (But could be wrong)

That's an I Beam, Cousin. :) And I was just thinking about posting something similar. My mouse pointer seems to stay intact, but everything else freezes for a bit. I haven't timed it, but I hit Ctrl/Alt/Delete for Task Manager and it eventually shows up and I can close things down until things unfreeze.

At first I thought it was Outlook that was misbehaving, but as things go on, other apps seem to misbehave too, so I'm now wondering if it may be Build 14279.

But here's the kicker . . . normally if something's not right, it'll be the update that's got problems and a clean install seems to make things work all better. Well, not for me this time . . . Things seemed to be working fine with the update, but they're not so fine with the clean install.

Oh, yeah, let's ad one more anomaly to the mix. Firefox has a new update and so does Office 365 2016, not to mention that 14279 is also a new build!

Way Cool.... thanks for the terminology I'm just going to wait and see if they bring us a new build that works better next week or if it doesn't fix the issue I will probably make an ESD > ISO after the WU download before the restart /install and do a clean install by mounting the ISO or if they don't bring us a new build by then I will just mount the 14279 ISO I made and clean install .

Ah, so you're running the update and I'm running a clean install and we both have some of the same issues.

A new SSD 500GB hard drive should land on my doorstep next Wednesday, so I'll be able to set dual boot up again. At that point, I'll have both Insider and the November RTM so I can at least figure out what may be going on.

It ALMOST makes me wonder if it's a windows kernel issue causing the hanging or something I'm Seeing transient major HDD and CPU spikes when (or right after ) it happens but not *usually at other times in taskman where I never saw them before under the same conditions and there is no malware causing it as far as I can tell .

I could boot into 10586 Th2 on the same NTFS hdd and look for it there but I use it now and then .

I just shoved the 10586 th2 cumulative update in there a couple of days ago and used it for a good while and I don't recall this behavior there but it seems slower than these rs1 builds

Been thinking about putting both OS on an SSD also or at least the Insider test builds I do the daily driving in for the duration of the program .

PS sometimes this PC slows down randomly on 14279 and I see big HDD and CPU spikes (sometimes 100% hdd) I can't explain also when it does that .

I been lazy and haven't checked the error logs perhaps I should look in there
