    To install certain software, .NET Framework 3.5 is required. Trying to add it from Turn Windows features on or off gives this:Anyone knows how to get it installed? I've tried everything mentioned on this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2734782
    I had used the offline installer directly from MS when I did it, but that was on a Technical Preview build last year, and I have only upgraded that system, never clean installed since then.

    I wonder if you tried installing one of the programs that requires the .Net 3.5, and let it try to install that way?

    @Kari,
    I know we talked about this yesterday, but I just tested on my machine that doesn't have it:
    Code:
    DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:I:\sources\sxs

    Where the /Source:I:\ is the mounted USB drive, with the Windows 10 ISO I made using Media Creation tool.

    Duly corrected then -- I guess .NET 3.5 etc., was co-installed with some other software - I was attempting to install Chipset and Graphics drivers the same day as .Net appeared, so it is likely it was the Intel Driver Update Utility that called for it.

    Uh huh . . . going on this premise, it seems to me that those of us with absolutely no coding knowledge will be left out in the cold because I didn't understand a bit of what you posted.

    Translation: I wouldn't even know where to start!

    @Wynona,

    From TechNet:
    Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) can also be used to install, uninstall, configure, and update Windows features, packages, drivers, and international settings in a .wim file or VHD using the DISM servicing commands.DISM commands are used on offline images, but subsets of the DISM commands are also available for servicing a running operating system.
    I used DISM to install .Net 3.5 from a mounted ISO.

    Kari one point from MSDN may be relevant:

    "Installing a Windows language pack before installing the .NET Framework 3.5 may cause the .NET Framework 3.5 installation to fail. Install the .NET Framework 3.5 before installing any Windows language packs."

    There seem to be myriad ways to install .Net Framework 3.5. On Bing I typed in "Install .Net 3.5 in Windows 10" and chose this link: How to instal .Net Framework 3.5 on Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

    From there I followed the first set of instructions and .Net Framework 3.5 (plus 2.0 and 3.0) installed without a hitch.

    Conclusion: Fafhrd may be right . . .

    BTW, yes, install is misspelled in the link. :) Also this solution is from November 2014. Go figure!
