Mine has updated successfully, the last build used to get to the blue window and hang until I used the reset button.

    Insider Previews Build 14271 Feedback

    1) Had to reset Windows 10 to Preview build 14267 because it thought my normal login was an administrator hence could not run Universal Applications. Removed ALL my own programs

    2) Fortunately have copies of all my programs and keys. Reinstalled them. This was actually quite helpful because I could then install almost all Windows 10 features (Including Isolated User Mode - but not Hyper-V which I don't use)

    3) Then downloaded build 14271 and it installed normally. I had made image backupls of the system using Aoemi Backupper before and after installed the preview build

    4) After imaging Preview Build 14271 I ran Disk Cleanup to remove Windows.old. Created another image.

    5) Then created an Adminstrator login which I'm using now - switch user to normal works fine.

    6) Will eventually create a login to my Windows Server 2016 TP4 HP server.

    7) Haven't notice any problems but since its only 4 build in a week didn't expect any. Still worth the trouble since I learned a lot about the Microsoft way.

    8) I also have a Insider Preview Build 14271 in a VMware WS 11.1.3 VM. Works great!

That's all for now folks. Haven't been asked for feedback yet

Could someone please send me the .ESD file for 271 please?
If M$ isn't sending me the update, I'm hoping one of you will.
    Thank you.

Have you been checking for updates as well as keeping the av program off? One thing I found here is that if the latest Windows Defender up available doesn't finish installing you won't find the insider builds in the updates ready to download and install as an update! Been seeing multiple times on VMs as well as the second test case I have and now on the main build when the Threshold 2 Update being on for a full 3 months was acting up.

Once the Get insider builds was enabled only after the latest WD update was finally taken careof however since there is no longer any option to right click to hide or choice between important and optional updates the Get insider build option then prompts for the restart at first. The subsequent checks following the full reboot while show the WD update in a flash already downloaded and installed but still no Insider build regardless of number. Why? You then have to wait 5-6hrs. on average like someone told you: "take a ticket and wait in line please!" eventually being displayed as ready to download once you have allowed that amount of time.

With the Threashold 2 version 1511 build 10586.101 with all updates on seeing the 101 not 73 number you could no longer renamed folders and couldn't browse for a profile pic when going in to get the system admin account all set. Click the browse button and slight flash only. The TH2 got buggy suddenly for no reason and I have been noticing a number of others running into this as well.

Solution please! Enabled the Get insider builds option to upgrade by update rather then a repair install. I still have the 10 media for the TH2 if needed but won't be necessary as the 14271 as well as previous builds simply go on without a hitch! The wait as expected from on the 10 Home VM as well as 2 or 3 other Pro VMs one on second build likely to go unless that saw digital entitlement take place. the same wait for 5-6hrs. unless already ready to go on like this build was just after seeing the previous 14267 go on 4 days earlier! The wait for the 14267 build was the one that took the longest after having the second desktop off for a full month while the main runs 24/7. The main drive there has the 14271 on as well as the VMs and now the main host/boot drive on the main build sees it as well. So far not one glitch to report!

I just wanted to chime in that I'm having the same system tray issue as others - if more than five icons are shown I get these hideous, large, black arrows on white background scrollbars.

Welcome to TenForums, Kitty. Good to have you here.

I just opened 7 apps, all showing on my taskbar and never got the arrows you and others are talking about. I also just pinned 7 apps to my taskbar, and never got the arrows. Are others not getting the arrows?

The glitch is with Notification Area Icons.

Wynona, it's Notification area icons, not Taskbar icons.

I think the 'placing desktop icons on the bottom row' issue is fixed.

Or, was that only for certain dpi?
