Even if you're not on the insider program, the OS seems to be not finished. Can you count how many updates we had since july? Is not only about Windows 10, is in almost every type of software.
    Hi there.

Actually considering the number of computers W1has been installed on - and the variety - from ancient machines that could barely run XP to modern i7 mega fast gaming platforms the reception has been from the vast majrity of users relatively positive - and certainly its stable enough for typical users too.

Some of those technical journalists have to write something -- otherwise what's the point of their jobs (well what's the point of their job anyway since a lot of them write uninformed rubbish anyway).

Most of the people I know have very little if any problem with W10 and are quite happy with it. I think most of the mega complainers are those who wouldn't like ANYTHING Ms does - even if they added 50,000 USD to your Bank account Every day for FREE !!!.

W10 was released as a "Work in progress" - but on the whole the updates don't bother the vast majority. I remember I was ALWAYS annoyed by W7 which seemed for ever to issue messages at Logon --Configuring for updates - often needing two or 3 reboots before you could start using it. People hve incredibly short memories.

    Cheers

I agree with you fully on this.
Some Posters all they do is have a go at Microsoft all the time, and I think post just for the sake of it,
If they think 10 is no good then they probably never had to use windows 95, 98 or any of the earlier ones.
I remember when 7 first came out how much trouble that gave, look how long it has taken to put that right and still doing so.

You can post anything (from that source) as long as they are credited... The only thing is no changes.

It's true, W10 has been very stable lately, even the Insider builds are performing well, BTW, I like the 50000 USD idea

Would you rather wait, to have bugs fixed, and security holes fixed? Not me, I want the patches as soon as they're ready!
I agree.. I want the patches ASAP and not like it was before when it took so long to get them.

One thing I like about 10 is, I usually don't know I've been updated(a fix or cumulative) unless either I happen to look at Reliability History or Frank has PM'd me when I have late shift so I know when I get home.

I get PM's from Frank as well. And I'm very pleased with the new approach MS has taken with 10 so it's a constant evolving OS and it's not a rather static slow to evolve and get patches.

    Keep it up MS!!

Check with a mod or an admin and see what they say you can/should do in the future. It's what I would do just to be safe.
