Maybe with .105 our pcs will work even better ;-)
I hope whatever cumulative update comes next miraculously fixes the native photos app which since last update of that app refuses to launch for my wife and son user accounts. It works fine on mine. Do cumulative updates have a habit of fixing these things - I know native apps (especially when MS pushes updates through the store) can give some people trouble.
Yes, the photos are all backed up but the app not working is irritating. The problem with the native apps from MS is you cannot uninstall them. The option is greyed out (intentional by MS). I can fix it by creating new user accounts for my wife and son and deleting the old but it's time consuming getting everything back as it was and I've been down that road before. I was hoping maybe cumulative updates did a little housekeeping on the native apps and might fix it automatically. I doubt it but just in case anyone had seen this occur I thought I'd ask.
Cheers, Wayne
UPDATE: Cumulative Update KB3135173
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 KB3135173
This is still older than the (withdrawn) KB in ths thread.
You are downloading KB3135173 and some people here have been downloading KB3136562 which is still not (and may not be) released.
Why the thumbsup? It is older and quite possibly a problem for those who decided to install KB3136562.
No reason to congratulating anyone on anything at the moment. Perhaps it will be released, perhaps the early adopters will have a problem backing it out.
Wait and see.
KB3136562 wasn´t on WU, right? It was leaked, nothing more, and no one was forced to install it.
Quite right. However lots of people did install it and are now thinking if they did the right thing or what procedure they should use to un-install it.... This will be difficult as MS did not say what items were included and which (if any) might cause a problem.
Moral of the story - don't install random patches off the internet. If Microsoft is happy with a patch they will put it on WU.
