Well, opinions about Win10 seem to be split about 50/50. Good for those that are happy with it, the rest has plenty of other options. No need to start a big argument about it. I will continue with Win7 for the time being but I have a Win10 in virtual to see how it evolves.

Speed is different and varies a lot between each individuals setup so no surprise there , i did not think Win 10 was faster for me but others say they think it is .

I agree 100% about Win 10 needing lots and lots of work to get close to Win 7 as a polished OS .
When you say POLISHED I take it you mean PATCHED, there are literally thousands of patches holding Windows 7 together, no operating system starts off perfect even the much loved IOS was full of mistakes and holes, and still is.

With every new version of Windows you have your knockers, nothing ever changes, besides, we're talking about Microsoft, people love rubbishing the company it's like a national sport.

In my opinion Windows 10 is leaps and bounds in front of Windows 7, but hey, if people like running outdated operating systems, go right ahead.

I only see leaps and bounds behind W7. In my opinion W10 is work in progress. Let's wait until it is finished.

Simply because it is. It's stable and fast. Has a nice start menu and all of the programs/apps run fine. Why do you think that 7 is so much better and faster??

The most negative comments about Win 10 are the hated start menu and metro apps , i think it's relatively stable but even with clean installs there was still a ton of bugs in Win 10 which is probably normal .

Outdated operating systems lol, MS wants and is hoping that to be the case but over 50% of users think Win 7 is the best OS MS has ever made and it looks more and more like the last great one .

When you have people requesting Win 7 when buying new computers instead on 8.1 and especially Win 10 that really says it all . I think Win 7 will remain the # 1 operating system until 2020 , new Win 10 adopters have slowed to a crawl and they are giving it away and trying to force people to go with it.

The reason MS is so happy about new hardware and chipsets only working with win 10 says everything .

10 Boots faster, runs faster, is more secure, doesn't slow down like Windows 7 when you add a lot of programmes, and in my opinion is just as stable if not more so. I've got over 200 GBs of games old and new and no slowdown whatsoever, Windows 7 would be dead in the water at this stage. Transfers files faster.

I have the feeling that you are running W7 on your washing machine, LOL. Get a real computer and you will see how nicely it performs.

I think the wise ones also said that about Windows XP and even DOS if I remember correctly.

Actually I even do have a computer generated washing machine, it's a Samsung, it even plays music, I think it runs on Android. I had an ASKO which I think ran on XP, it was just as slow.

I don't have a real lot of computers, only about 8 or 9 including tablets, I'm not into them that much, it's just a passing hobby. Unfortunately my fastest one is only a Corei7 and my slowest an old 1.6GHZ Atom, they all run Windows 10 by the way. One of my Atoms has XP Windows 7 and Windows 10 running on it, 10 being the fastest.
Actually the old Atom comes in handy, I run CronusMax on Windows 10 and connect it to my Xbox One so I can run Forza 6 with a steering wheel or Microsoft Sidewinder, pretty handy.

I'm not sure 10 boots faster, it gets to the start screen quicker then takes longer to load personal settings, at least for me overall it seems the same.

As for windows 7 slowing down, I have never experienced this myself, but you may have on your machine.

Windows 10 seems Ok, but not brilliant to me.
