They still haven't fixed the registry editor bug where searching the registry crashes on long strings.

Geneo, Microsoft said that they're designing Windows10 for the "average" user/consumer. Editing the registry is not something they do. The updates are designed to enhance day-to-day functionality and IMO, data gathering ability.

By your logic they should not distribute the registry editor or anything else they deem "not average" That would be great. There is no excuse for not fixing this known bug.

It's not "my logic" Geneo. It's what Microsoft said their target market is for Windows-10.

It is your logic. Just because they target some market segment is not an excuse for delivering programs with bugs and not fixing them. I have to use the registry editor search function to help fix other bugs they and their partners have produced.

And this bug Is not just in homer but Pro, and I am sure enterprise, as well. What about those markets.

"Change my environment variables" link is still dead. That fancy editor for system PATH variable is still broken. Registry editor is still broken.

I don't know what they are fixing there, but as long as such blatant bugs remain ignored their efforts will not be taken seriously.

This is what I found posted about this update on a social media page

Microsoft has focused on bug fixes, stability improvements and performance enhancements with this release.

I'm merely restating what Microsoft has said about Windows10's target market. Don't shoot the messenger, LOL. At any rate, Windows10 is so juvenile, I'm surprised that any Professionals, Advanced Users, etc.. would even have it on their system. It looks like a 6th grader designed the "Settings", as well as the EDGE browser.

Didn't I read here in the forum a couple months ago that Microsoft wants to remove the Control Panel from Windows10? If true, that would fall right in line with their new "dumbing down" methodology.
