backup HDD/SSD image would be even better.
On my W7 install, Macrium images at ~3 GB to ~4 GB per minute.
For W10, since I'm using a VM, I just copy it to my backup drive before upgrades.
Just rolled back from 14251 to 11102 it was not playing nice here Chrome wouldn't show even after a re install and it would only boot into 14251 and not activated 10586 on the other NTFS partition on this HDD and it was much slower *here all in all and hanging frequently .
11102 and Chrome etc. are all working normally and well now .
We'll see what the next test build brings . I've been an insider for just about a year to the day .
As they say S* happens hopefully everyone else is having better luck with 11102
FWIW in the past year this is my first roll back other than a clean re install of 10029 way back when .
I used the Windows Insider app feedback and summarized my difficulties for the smiley people in Redmond
Brought a black screen with cursor.
Able to boot to safe mode with network.
Can't access system restore.
Experiencing 2 problems on this build:
1. IE favorites files in folders are missing.
2. Windows Media Player does not works with downloaded .flv files with major codecs.
Reported to MS.
The embedded Windows 10 Groove Music run time tile app beats WMC and you can import, music library's ,files and tracks in there then select playback from album ,artist, song ,genre etc ,.
Groove Music has the usual meta data and cover art web scrapers if you haven't tagged them already and VLC is the S* for video and Kodi is decent and they are free
