I know that you guys think that I am crazy, but I have been using these previews as my only MS OS for almost a year. I have all of my programs loaded into the preview and I do all of my work and hobbies from each and every preview that I install. It doesn't bother me if it crashes, I just reload the OS and re-set it up. It could take several days to reinstall my software, but that's life.

I've noticed that with some of the Insider builds since October that a few features require "a few restarts" after a build update, to settle down to normal expected behaviour - the "missing right-click" resolution, for instance, was not immediate, then later, it suddenly started to act normally.
That could very well be the case. The first few boots were odd and today it was normal and very fast for me.

looks like this update contains a new build of Windows Media Player..

    - I can't transfer Albums to my mobile via USB, using sync..
    - the phone isn't listed as an available device for sync purposes..

Can't say that I have from what I can tell it works just the way the previous one did. What issues are you encountering?

    Apparently very random thing.
My desktop consistently gets the new builds, and I now try to remember to keep the install.esd files before the first reboot.

My laptop very rarely gets the builds. It eventually got 11082 but usually I have to load the new builds from a stick.

I have yet to find an explanation for this. Both are set to the fast ring.

I never lost install.esd even after reboot and update installation.

The only time mine disappears is when I do the disk clean up. And I did that before I captured the esd this time.

I've noticed that when I restart there is a brief window with a run time error and a reference to 32. Too quick to see.

Unfortunately I have the very same problem. MP3 instantly recognised by Windows, but no synch available on WMP12.

    Hi there
I re-installed Paperport 14 as it has a nice easy scanner interface that integrates easily with the Ms office products.

If you need IE rather than EDGE to be a linked program switch Edge to IE in default programs in control panel (still working !! right mouse click on start button) or in properties.

    Works fine.

    Cheers

I don't want IE either! :) IE started misbehaving some time back, and every time I checked it in the next few weeks, it still didn't work right, so I just went with Firefox. Chrome may be a few milliseconds faster, but I'll stick with FF for now.
