This just APPEARED for me this morning. I came downstairs and my computer was out of sleep. Looked over and no gadgets. Yep, the first clue that I got a new version of windows. There was no e-mail, no notification, and no input from me at all. Win10 ver 99 just downloaded and installed itself then rebooted. Fait accompli. I guess I should be concerned that MS should have at least told me it was coming...

I've noticed that with some of the Insider builds since October that a few features require "a few restarts" after a build update, to settle down to normal expected behaviour - the "missing right-click" resolution, for instance, was not immediate, then later, it suddenly started to act normally.

After finishing update I noticed that there's a lot of internet activity, mostly downloading for another 10 -15 minutes. May be a good idea to leave computer on and connected for a while after the update and not to restart immediately. After all of that and a restart, there's also a lot of disk activity for another number of minutes.
That was happening with previous updates too and time may vary with internet speed and computer characteristics.

One thing I've noticed is that Visual C++ is installed almost every time I install a new program. I just installed PaperPort 14 and got all of the Visual C++es installed from 2005 to 2008 or 2009.
    Hi there
I re-installed Paperport 14 as it has a nice easy scanner interface that integrates easily with the Ms office products.

If you need IE rather than EDGE to be a linked program switch Edge to IE in default programs in control panel (still working !! right mouse click on start button) or in properties.

    Works fine.

    Cheers

The update finally came in for my system. I left it on over night and still nothing. But I checked for updates this morning and it finally was available. Updating now.

When I booted my PC this morning it took less than 20 seconds to fire up and log in.
    No issue here ...
