The Windows team takes some time off during the Holidays

The Windows 10 for PC and mobile builds that Microsoft rolled out earlier this week are the last of the year, as the Windows team will take some time off during the holidays and won’t push any updates until January.

    Gabe Aul:
“This time of year many of us take the opportunity to spend time with family and take some vacation time, so the engineering team will be running at a slower pace and many of our key people who drive our flighting process will be out (including me). This means we won’t be releasing any new builds to Windows Insiders until January, for both PC and mobile.”

And they posted that there would be more builds in Jan and that they would come faster.,

    Yep!

We are re-evaluating the ring promotion criteria to allow more builds to reach Windows Insiders. The new criteria will be much closer to our criteria for flighting to our internal rings, which means more builds will pass it and be released externally to the Fast ring. This also means however that the builds we release to the Fast ring may include more bugs and other issues that could be slightly more painful for some people to live with. It’s a tradeoff – as the thing that throttles the rate of builds is the promotion criteria.

Yup.. that's what I was thinking.. I might just roll back to the stable build and drop out of the insider program this weekend. More bugs!!!

Not for me.. I need a stable OS or I'll go NUTS!! ... well nutty than I'm already.

Why don't you do like me Jeff and just install a unactivated Win10 in Hyper-V let it upgrade and just use it to check out(not use) I don't even install any 3rd party software. I just check out what's been changed in the OS and stock Apps, and see what has changed in system32 and what I do know about the registry.
All my batch & vbs files are on OneDrive so that's not a problem either.
I know it's a gray zone, but I don't "USE" it, I just check how good it upgrades and the updates too.

I might do that if I get the gumption up.

Hmm, strange. I never thought insider builds were stable. I wouldn't use the 10 insider build to go shopping on online. I would use the windows 10 build released to the public though. However, for other reason I am still unsure using 10 as my everyday operating system.

Why?? TH2 is extremely stable and I use it as my daily with zero issues. I just don't want the extra bugs that will be coming down the road next year.

I didn't say TH2 is not stable. That build was actually released to the public in November as well as the insiders. The insiders have received a new build this week for the fast ring.
