    It seems that this update has created a problem on my little homemade PC. Ever since I built this machine, it has always gone to sleep like an obedient little child. When I am done doing my thing, I just get up and walk away from the computer and it automatically goes to sleep after 10 minutes. Well it is not doing that after this update. I have tried several different remedies, but it fails to go to sleep automatically. There have been no hardware changes and no other software or app changes. This problem just started after installing this update. I am bummed out.

    I was hoping that this update fixed the problem of losing Bluetooth capabilities once the computer went to sleep. It did not. Same problems.

    Anyone having problems with the CALC APP?
    Worked before the update. With the reboot pending it would startup and then die. After the reboot it still starts up and then the window dies.

    This fixed it though -

    Code:
    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Anyone notice Cortana crashing when shutting down

    No issues with it while using the machine, but when I do a shutdown I get a message in notification centre that Cortana has stopped responding, looks like a problem closing it down
    It's probably irrelevant. I am just curious if this issue happens regardless of how you do the shut down ?
    i.e. by pressing the Power button or by using the Start button.

    After I restarted to install it this morning, before going to work, I got my first ever BSOD from a Windows update
    I just did a hard shut down, turned the PC back on and it booted to my desktop with the update installed, all Hunky Dory.
    I ran:

    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\&fsutil usn deletejournal /d /n c:&Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&&sfc /scannow&Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth&sfc /scannow&Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase&pause

    and the system checks out good. Just a hiccup I suppose.

    Good thinking :)

    I normally shut down by right clicking the start button and selecting shutdown, last couple of days I have been using the power button on the start menu to shutdown

    Will try doing it the way I used to tonight and see what happens

    Didn't think of this until you mentioned it

    Sorry. I was referring to the actual physical Power button on the keyboard.

    wow... good thing I checked the forums... after seeing this post I decided to check for updates and saw I had this update as well
    it requires a restart..so afraid to restart... *crosses fingers* lets hope nothing gets efft up
    The update seems safe for me when I did it last night. Nothing bodged as far as I can tell. But I am like you, whenever one falls down the pipe it brings great anxiety. It's awful that MS makes us feel like this - fearing the 'update'!!!!
