Yes, didn't thought of that. I usually skip updates to avoid problems and make installation faster.

For some reason, my last 3 updates via automatic Windows Update came spread over time. I got the big update 10586.3 right away (I did not get 10586). then 10586.11, and just now 10586.14

All 3 updates were smooth as smooth can be, literally nothing broke, literally none of my non-default privacy settings were changed. I subscribe to the notion that the reason therefore is my run-of-the-mill hardware. The performance improvement from .3 to .11 is not noticeable to me. There is a clear improvement in terms of responsiveness from 0.11 to 0.14

I guess I belong to the lucky ones with the one Windows 10 computer that I have. But I still won't update my other computers to Windows 10 yet, still too many people (too many for my peace of mind) still report their hot potatoes. I wonder if the number of hot potatoes will diminish before or after the free upgrade year.

Any guesses how much an upgrade to Windows 10 will cost after July 2016?

Windows 10 installs have topped 100 MILLION devices. That's 100,000,000. So how low do the "hot potatoes" have to diminish to? I mean how many of these "hot potatoes" are you actually reading about compared to the 100,000,000 devices that Windows 10 is installed on?

Let's say you read about 100,000 people who have these "hot potato" reports. 100,000 / 100,000,000 is .1 %. 1/10th of 1%. Now, have you actually read 100,000 "hot potato" reports?

Sure, you may think that a high percentage of people have problems with Windows 10 from reading a forum such as this one. But this - and most other computer forums - is about solving problems. But, in reality, probably 99,000,000+ installations of Windows 10 are out there completely unremarked upon.

I said earlier that a thread about an upgrade should receive 100 replies or less before I upgrade my other computers to Windows 10 (At the moment, I have only one computer upgraded to Windows 10) Ah yes, I made that statement in that particular upgrade thread that has 1400+ replies and counting

I am sure that by 2020 (end of Windows 7 support) or much earlier, a thread about upgrading to Windows 10 will get less than 100 replies and that by 2023 (end of Windows 8/8.1 support) or much earlier, a thread about upgrading to Windows 10 will get less than 10 replies.

I am hoping that upgrade threads get less than 100 replies before the end of free upgrade year (July 2016) as it would save me some $$ but I am not sure. I will keep an eye on forums like this.

Yes but by 2020 and later we would be talking about Windows 11 or 12 issues. Few will still install Windows 10.

This update removes CCleaner. If CCleaner Is Monitoring then the update cannot remove it and will fail during "installing updates"
