Just did my second update from 10240 to 102586.0. As with the 4 previous updates from 102586.0, as soon as update KB3118754 was installed and computers restarted, they all had 102586.11.
After I upgraded (via the MCT) to th2, 10586.3, I could see the other computers on my network, but my other computers could not see my Windows 10 machine. The upgrade had removed the 'share' settings from my shared folders! I restored the 'share' settings, and all was well....until the upgrade to 10586.11 came along.
This was automatically installed last night via Windows Update.
Now, my Windows 10 File Manager cannot see any other computer on my network, other than itself.
Other computers on my network can see my Windows 10 machine, and can copy files to and from my shared folders.
So far, I've had no luck in sorting this, may be opening a new thread here soon to ask for help.
Thanks, Dave.
Yeah, Gas, thanks. The troubleshooter reports "No problems found".
Reading through the "Network & Sharing" posts on this forum, lots of people are having this problem.
I tried one suggestion from there, runningin a command prompt, and all my computers showed up!Code:net view
I then opened File Explorer in "Network", and I can see and access all my machines again, so I'm back up and running.
I still think there is something buggy in networking in the latest Windows 10 upgrade, we will see how it goes.
Thanks for the suggestion,
Dave,
It is 10.0.10586.11 for the lates updated OS win10. I picked up and additional 4GB of free space so, since 10586.3 I have picked (gotten rid of trash files and whatever) 11GB of free space I guess. Thanks MS.
I found one fix on the Mail app that can possibly be attributed to 10586.11: Solved FYI in case you have an IMAP email account and face problem with setup - Windows 10 Forums
