OMG, It's fine. Updated via windows update. Took 20-30 mins. Been checking everything out after. All seems ok. I am pretty stunned! I expected the worst
Good to hear everything worked out for you. When the update works it's great but there are times.. well .. it fails. So far I'm totally please with this build/version.

Most here will be aware but be careful if upgrading from an ISO, make sure you read carefully before clicking the start button! as I mentioned in an earlier post I downloaded the ISO and burnt it to a disc but when I tried to upgrade it only offered to do a clean install wiping out everything, the reason given was that it was a different language version, yet I selected GB english when I d/l the ISO which is what is on the PC.

Sure is.. I would make certain that everything works and is stable before you do that.

Would mounting the ISO I got from the MCT work as well? I really don't have access to a DVD or usb drive right now.

I mostly use computer for photo editing and I am amazed how good it works with all my photo editing SW and how fast my very big RAW files are viewed and processed, W7 and W8.1 had some problems with RAW files i always had to use and external viewer.
Smooth with office files even big ones; very good for web surfing (I like Edge, just use it for surfing all I need is there, I love the great integrated PDF converter fast and accurate ).
And also my CPU is working at a lower temperature (and that means lower cooler fan speed and more silent PC)
In the next days I will try it also for video editing.

I clean installed on my wife's laptop by mounting the ISO created with MCT.
