I saw the TH2 1511 10586 update but by the time I was ready to hit the download button, it was gone.

Hmmm, Disk Cleanup got my Windows.old folder, as well as the temp folder for the installation files. I kept the ESD folder too. The only folder that's still on my main C directory is $Windows.~WS and it's only about 45 MB in size.

Make sure you run Disk Cleanup as an Administrator from the Start Menu, under Windows Administrative Tools.
A couple questions about this, Chris. 1. Should I run disk cleanup yet or wait a while? 2. I have the following 4 files on my pc's now: $Windows.~WS, $Windows.~BT, ESD, and Windows.old. Are these necessary, or should they be deleted? Thanks for any help on this.

I would think that if you're not having any issues and you don't need to go back to the previous version of windows you can clean up those files with the Disk Cleanup. But you can wait a bit and see how things go before you perform this operation.

Day 2, no WU updates to apply, again and I LIVE in the US.

    This is annoying MS.

    Going the route of MCT.

Same thing Jeff just said, but If you make an image backup using a program like Macrium Reflect, and save it to another drive, then you can remove all those files, and gain a huge amount of hard drive space back. Just an idea....Mike

That's the same version I have on my Nvidia 750ti card, works fine too.
Installed now, will have to wait and see. Seemed to happen right after boot up when I was launching programs.

Mr. Burns, you don't happen to make a living designing graphics packages for TV stations? :)

And I'd do the same if mine didn't come through last night.
