Insiders will be starting to test Redstone 1 feat. in the coming weeks

Microsoft is starting to roll out its first major update to Windows 10, a set of updates and features known as the 'November update,' and codenamed 'Threshold 2.'

The update, Build 10586 (also known as Version 1511, for November 2015) is the test build for PCs and tablets which Microsoft released to its Windows Insider testers last week. It will be available to existing Windows 10 users as a Cumulative Update via Windows Update starting today. It also will be available as of today to Windows 7 and 8.1 customers who have not yet upgraded to the RTM version of Windows 10 that Microsoft released in late July.

The November update includes a number of updates to Cortana, Microsoft's Edge browser, and other Windows 10 interface elements. It also includes support for the Windows 10 Store for Business and the bulk of the management pieces required by business users who may want to take advantage of Microsoft's Windows Update for Business service.

Hoo frickin Ray. Win10 TH2 reports no file integrity issues. The original MS TH2 download was corrupt (imagine that) having no or a bad file necessary to run a successful dism repair session. The file inparticular is the "install.wim" not the "install.esd" file. See post here. DISM - Repair Windows 10 Image - Page 14 - Windows 10 Forums

Came home and checked Windows Update, where 10586 was listed but threw an "Error". Retry didn't work.

KB3105213 was also on the list.

New cumulative update available for Windows 10 (KB3105213)

That installed successfully, restarted, and 10586 was not there. Retry brought it back and it's in the process of downloading files now. (I have very, very, very slow DSL.) (Not my choice.)

Used Media Creation Tool yesterday at about 16:23 UTC on a UK English system to create a dual x86, x64 DVD (5.47 GB (5,877,530,624 bytes)). Installed this using setup.exe on one of my systems, and on completion, winver said: Version 10.0 (Build 10240).

Looks like MCT hasn't been updated

Updated a laptop and big old Dell to th2 using the iso created from MediaCreationToolX64. Both worked great.

Came home and did the same to my Lenovo K450 and when the install ended I had the RTM build 10240! No idea what happened.

The top one, Home X86 is what I got at work when I updated the laptop and Dell. The bottom one, Pro X64 is what I got here at home that left me with RTM build 10240. This is the hash I get for it:

Anyone else got that iso who can tell me what their hash value is?

This is the hash from work for the Home x86 iso:

I'm in the process of downloading 32 and 64 bit ISOs from Techbench so will try the update again in a little while but I'm curious how I ended up at 10240 after a supposed update.

Edit: Update using the Techbench ISO worked great, now at 10586.3.
