I don't get it, how can there be so many problems updating to a higher version. It's like they took and modified the process after they gave it to the Windows Insiders. 3 of the 4 machines are less than a year old so there is no saying that I had outdated components. The last PC is 2 1/2 to 3 years old.

That's probably exactly what they did, Gzt.

The Media Creation Tool is for whatever you need to do, Carbuff. Since you already have Windows 10 up and running, you can use the MCT to upgrade or do a clean install, whichever you choose.
And if I choose MCT to upgrade, will it be necessary to use an USB drive?

I thank you two for your responses about the MCT. I will download it now and use it to upgrade to the new level.

Hello Paul, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

You will be able to directly upgrade using MCT.

    Update:

For whatever the reason, yesterday I could not download and reinstall Office 365 2016. Today, about an hour ago, I was finally able to git 'er done!

Betcha MS diverted some of the Office servers to Windows 10 upgrade!

Not necessarily, but if you have an 8 GB flash drive, that's your best way to go. Much easier.

    Thanks for the replies!

I don't know if some of you had the same problem, but yesterday the update showed up in windows update. I tried to install it, and after the download it said that it failed and to try again.

After pressing the retry button... Puff... No more updates available and the message that shows up is that my pc is up to date. (Checked with winver and i am still at 10240)
