First Major Update for Windows 10 Available
-
Update presumably finished downloading, it took a while , then said it had problems installing some updates and it will retry later and or to retry later only 59.3 MB in c:\ $Windows ~ BT folder mostly from 10/29 no .
No 10586 th2 media install tool download .exe in there either .
Update re try says my device is up to date but I'm still on 10240 on this primary NTFS partician .
Maybe it will happen later .

I now have a USB installation drive downloaded via the Media Creation Tool about 2 hours ago (UK).
Does this contain both the Home and Pro upgrade variants since I have 2 systems to upgrade? Also does this version of the Media Creation Toll allow me use my retail Windows 8 key?

Didn't show up at all for me in the Start Menu? Search couldn't even find it. Maybe it was installing in the background when I unpinned it? Weird? It wouldn't launch for me? The tile just turned dark/greyed out kind of.
There is a brief period upon install that it says "Downloading your apps". I'm assuming it's all the default MS store apps. This is now one also I would guess. Perhaps something went haywire with your particular install. Can you find it in the Store?

The Start Menu tiles even in 10240 had always had apps that were not installed showing up, it's like advertising as basically there is Candy Crush Saga, Minecraft Windows 10 Beta Edition, Flipboard, and IHeartRadio that has tiles but are not installed. My main account even on a upgrade install and I've deleted the tiledatalayer folders before and installed from another newly created admin account will always be more basic with just Candy Crush Saga. If I create one or more new user accounts, it will always get created with the 4 tiles mentioned above except the apps are not installed. See posts #24 and #30 in this thread I started earlier.

Sorry to hear of all the problems some of you good folks are having. . .though not here. . .already loaded up and running on my Dell venue 5000 pro. . .sweet, sorry for Europeans, especially John. . .:)
Since I already wanted to do a clean install, I went the media creation route and 20 to 25 minutes later I'm up and running!

Shows up now, must have been installing in the background or something. Was able to uninstall. Still weird though.

Clean installed Enterprise and Pro, both showed as 10586.0, had to run Windows update to get to 10586.3
Anybody else getting the useless non functional Candy Crush Saga App on their Start Screen? I got it on my Pro install also. Won't run and no uninstall option that I could find? Once I unpin it its MIA from the Start Menu.
Yep, got it, clicked on it and it took me to the Store, but a blank page. Since I don't do any games except mind clearing solitaire, I'm not disappointed, but could do with less crap I don't use.

iHeart radio was another one. Candy crush eventually showed up in the start menu. The other will too I suspect. I'll just have to go back in latter and weed them out.

Windows 10 pro user, not insider. Tried twice to download version 1511, 10586, both times, I did the reboot, and both times it failed to install.
Now I search again for the update, and it doesn't appear. Suggestions?
