Doesn't answer magilla's question, which was:

"Has anyone heard when Edge might support extensions?" And my answer stands: It may not be until the "Redstone" update, sometime next year. I say may not because the TH2 update was supposed to bring extension support, but it wasn't ready yet.

Well, I'm really happy for you, but I'm afraid it's pure speculation. I was at least referencing it straight from the horses mouth > "but we're working on it for a future update". "Future" meaning it could be tomorrow or it could be as you say with Redstone.

My reference also explains a way to voice one's desire's so far as extensions.

Here's some reading to better understand Edge and it's workings if anyone be interested.

Last week marked the release of a significant update for Microsoft’s latest version of the Windows OS. The newest update to Windows 10, named Threshold 2, has also marked major improvements to Microsoft’s Edge web browser as well.

The biggest of them all, being the availability of EdgeHTML 13 rendering engine to its regular Windows 10 users — a feature which only Insiders had access to till date. EdgeHTML 13 is Microsoft’s latest iteration of its rendering engine, which promises faster speed and enhanced feature set in the new Edge browser, as compared with IE or others.

FWIW, the earliest that any extensions will be supported by Edge will be when red stone one comes out next year. Keep in mind if you're a participant in the insider program you'll get to see them much sooner.

But, Redstone isn't forecast until sometime mid-year--possibly summertime.
