All done, finished the set up about 10 minutes ago so now going to sort my dinner out. Glad the download and install sorted itself out as I was in no way able to concentrate that much, not feeling too good today.
Will be back later with updates and hopefully feeling a bit better. :)

It loads faster with an SSD, about 30 minutes.
    Hi there

My update using an SSD -- 8 Mins from start to finish (after the download of course). SSD is an older Samsung 840 256 GB SSD (not the latest one) and running on an HP sleekbook laptop (i5 with 8GB RAM).

    Cheers

Meh, snap is working for Metro Apps now but I still can't snap 2 side by side on my laptops 1600 x 900 screen. They won't minimize small enough, one app takes up 2/3 of the screen. FAIL Easily doable in 8.1 on my desktops 1280 x 1024 screen. Option to boot to the Start Screen is greyed out, really? They'll let you turn the Start Menu off, but lock you into booting to the desktop? I don't get that. And yes I know this is only a preview build, but I still don't get that restriction.

    Hi there
Enterprise users - If you get prompted to activate windows when using PC settings ==>personalize your PC

    activate as follows

    enter SLUI 3

at the popup enter the generic Enterprise key : PBHCJ-Q2NYD-2PX34-T2TD6-233PK

Just a FYI post no need to reply. Activated fine on a clean install of the Enterprise version. I had an activation issue when I upgraded last time around though. Had to do a Change Product Code.

The same thing happened to me! I ended up installing the Enterprise edition and activating it with the generic key. :)

Well, I have almost had all I need of Windows 10, personally, IMHO it has removed some of the best functions from past versions. How unfortunate.
Oh? In what way? I have my doubts also.
I am of the adage "..if it isn't broke don't fix it",

and I find zero reason to change the functionality of Windows 7 menu. I can understand if they added a toggle to turn off/on the tile menu, but as it is they are just a jumble of alphabetized entries. You can't move anything or change anything and the pin to list is just silly. Plus I find removing the properties function for entries just wrong.

I also don't like that they removed the hot corners and slide in options from the top and bottom. I don't like that they removed the desktop tile from the start screen. I think it poor planning to have 3 separate control panels (control panel, PC settings, and zPC settings).

I don't like not being able to switch between desktop view and start screen view easily.

The start screen has no personalizing that I found.

But now I am starting to ramble, there are so many things I dislike about it.
Why couldn't they just have enhanced previous versions instead of reworking it, into a ball of string?

...just very disappointed, at this point I am dreading to see the end product and can't stand to watch previous versions butchered and hacked to death.

It seems that you like the functionality of 7 and the interface of 8.

10 is the product of all the "likes" from 7 and all the "hate" from 8. I think you should start looking for a linux distro that will work for you. Win 10 seems to be out of your options.
