Given up and suspended the VM the install part just keeps going round and round, havent got to the setting up part yet.
I'm using a VMware and it took the good part of 90 min. or more to complete, then the update I found when I thought I was done. Which was another 20 min. or so.
After this it kept saying setting up or starting set up a few times. In the end it was done.

There is a quasi progress bar, it's the grey bar over Download now.
Didn't see that on my download. Just the spinning beads.

What do you mean by quasi
Quasi meaning sort of or kind of ...

Exactly, of course this is what it means. What else could it possibly mean.

After install completed, no ESD folder.

When I deleted the Windows.old folder after taking ownership (wouldn't delete otherwise), I ended up with dozens of The PC icons on the desktop.

I then deleted one and they all disappeared, including the one I wanted:

Personalize, Change Desktop Icons, check Computer brought back a single This PC.

    W10 TP b9879

W10 TP b9879 seems to have installed correctly.

It took ~30 minutes to update my VM.

Desktop Window Snapping seems to work correctly for:
    • 4x "width 50%, height 50%"
    • 2x "width 50%, height 100%"
    • 2x "width 50%, height 50%", "width 50%, height 100%"

I cannot make Window Snapping work for:
    • 2x "width 100%, height 50%"
    • 2x "width 50%, height 50%" + "width 100%, height 50%"

    Same here.

My "C:\$Windows.~BT" folder has updated dates though.

Some folders are actually dated with tomorrow's date!

How do I get rid of the last two images in my previous post? I uploaded 4 images, only wanted to use 2 in that post, but all 4 show.

Finally figured it out. Not very intuitive at all.

First thing I noticed was the Start menu font size is fixed.

    Attachment 8168.:)
I got to ask you this. Did you customize that dark background or is that the default, also what color is the background of the folders?
groze I just picked the color grey from personalization for the start menu and the wallpaper has a marble background added to the bottom to allow for the height of the transparent taskbar.

The background of the folders is the default white.

I got those on installing some apps, but you can just refresh desktop instead with F5.

Didn't see this reported yet but you can hide Task View and Search Icons from the left side of Taskbar.
