Well then I guess I am lucky then, as I have no use for any cloud feature on my computers or my cell phone. Only thing that is like a cloud feature that I can think of, that I do use, is my email. That is stored on the internet just like everyone else.
Yeah that was alright 10 years ago, but the world has moved on, there's nothing like working on something on one device and finishing it on another, all your music in the cloud, spreadsheets you name it. Not having the cloud now is like not having the Internet 20 years ago.

I agree. For me using the cloud is a disaster recovery tool. We did that when I worked at The Travelers and other places. Off site storage is key to making sure you don't lose key information and I still follow that method today., But I use MegaCloud and it's rather good.

Well that is interesting because I was just about to reply back to you Jeff, before you asked me.......you type quicker than me.
Ok I use like lots of other members on here Macrium Reflect for all my backup image files. They all go on a 2nd drive. THIS Works VERY well for me. I am a home user, I am retired and not in the corporate world. I see no need for any type of cloud storage on my systems what-so-ever!!! I also have Office 2013 installed and have turned off as much as I can with Office and cloud. Like I have said Jeff, Not everyone needs or wants cloud type features. I can understand why a lot of folks do want their cloud, and that is fine with me. I just hope that those people can also understand, why some folks DON'T NEED Cloud......or want it. :)

I understand where you're coming from totally. I just use it out of habit and for a place to store my things. I have secondary storage here but I just like to make sure.

Funny thing is Jeff, I got an email from Amazon the other day, telling me I have earned some free cloud storage from them. All I had to do was follow the link. lol I use Amazon a lot, so that's why I get emails from them. So looks like more company's are going to be offering cloud type storage. :)

Yup,, it's just about reaching the silly point now. Like you said not everyone needs cloud storage. But,, let the companies knock themselves out.

How do most people get images from their phone cameras to their computers without Onedrive or similar sync system (i.e. cloud storage) - bluetooth, USB link or SSD transfer?

    Just curious.
