    Any of you folks use your computers for work also? The default setting of the native Windows app 'File History' is to make incremental backups every hour, just saying.

    I use Crashplan for backups. It has a free version and a paid version. The free version will let you backup to internal/external HDDs, as well as other computers on your LAN or on the internet. The paid version will also back you up to their cloud. You can even specify your own "key", for extra protection. All backups are versioned. Many people that have been hit with the crypto malware have successfully recovered all their data from Crashplan backups because of the versioning. Because the backup files are encrypted and compressed, they do not have the common file extensions that the malware look for to encrypt.
