Just wondering.. do you have a valid license for your copy??
As a matter of fact, Yes I Do
I do not know who or what gives you the right to ask such a question.
But it seems you are blind folded by what is going on in the outside world.
You should get out on the net and see, what is going on around you

Well clearly Windows Genuine Advantage is is not working.
There are millions of PC,S activated by an Activator, and they all got upgraded to Windows 10.
Without Microsoft picking it up, or neglecting to pick it up.
Wake up and smell the coffee!
You live in a world where you think everything is perfect.
Well, this little world is far from that, no matter what anyone tells you.

And you don't know me and what I know. Bottom line is theft is theft. And no matter how pirates try to justify what they do doesn't change that fact.

Why should any of us who has paid for a new laptop or disc with Genuine windows let Pirates have windows for nothing or even part of it.
They should be made to pay full price and then made to activate their copy by phone.

I can see you know nothing about IT, except for the things that you could learn from a book.
I presume to know what you think, by reading your comments.
You got yourself into a conversation, where you have no idea what you are talking about.

Had a guy down near where I live offering to put windows on their computers.
I asked him about it and he told me he uses a usb stick that he has windows 10 on.
I mentioned to him about non genuine windows on my computer his attitude was he was out to make money.
When I pointed out to him people could get it free, and told him he was conning people and that I had genuine on mine the admin on the Facebook page he was on stepped in and told him to remove his advert.
Then barred him on all the sites she ran,
Two people who had told him they would have it then thanked me.
I am going to their homes tomorrow to install windows 10 on their computers both had windows 8.1 but don't know what to do being senior citizens like me.
I told them I will do it free but dropped hint I like coffee so will have hopefully free coffee coming up

I generally think bigger and drop a hint for coffee...and Cake
I do free lessons for older people in my spare time at a local retired complex.. for me cake is a given.. often home baked :)

We the legitimate users pay the price for pirates. We pay more for Windows and Office because others steal it and Microsoft has to recoup the loses. We have to deal with extra checks like Genuine Advantage. Long complex product keys. The list goes on. Then we get idiots that seem to think its no big deal. Well it is a big deal.

I got my degree and I still think theft is theft and if you condone it you're no better than the pirates. You should no better as a provisional programmer what piracy costs.

It is but pirates will always come up with some "reason" to justify what they do.

I have worked my entire life for commercial software companies, starting out in tech support almost 20 years ago and doing systems engineering on Linux and Windows boxes since around 1999. Many moons ago, there wasn't the great plethora of free apps/open source we have today. If I cannot find a free software that meets my needs, then obviously paying for a commercial app that does meet my needs is acceptable to me.

People complain about the high cost of Windows, but then you look inside their rig and see a $400+ video card, water cooler, half a dozen case fans, useless LED lights, etc. It's not always a matter of not having the money, its a matter of "why pay when I don't have to".

I do feel the pirates have more trouble with viruses/malware, etc. If they troll sites offering pirated software they open themselves us to other nasties, etc. Who knows that somebody did with a preactivated version of Windows. For the relatively low price of Windows, I won't bother finding out.

Like I said, I work in commercial software. I don't pirate anything and haven't in 10+ years. The money spent for me has been relatively small and totally worth it. If you argue Windows ain't woth the price, use Linux. If Linux is too hard, limited, intimidating, not good for games....then maybe re-evaluate whether Windows maybe is worth the price.
