The new version will provide a direct upgrade method

Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 Mobile preview build 10572 earlier this week, but as most insiders already know, this particular version required a full reflash to Windows Phone 8.1 before eventually installing it.

This was caused by a build-to-build upgrade bug that prevented previous releases from discovering the new version in phone update, so the only way to install it was to restore to Windows Phone 8.1 and start from scratch.

At the time of the 10572 release, Microsoft explained that those who don't want to flash their phones could wait until sometime next week when an updated build that doesn't come with the aforementioned bug would be released.
