A menu bar option would be helpful too.

Is there a site showing available Edge addons and extensions? I would like to see what's available before even thinking about switching.
That is the main reason why I won't give up Firefox and Chrome. Firefox is my main browser and I only use Chrome to watch American Football.

Yup NH I love to use the menu bar too(always have) to have really fast access to the browser options, without having to search & search through their settings menus.
This was one thing I hated about Flock as well as Chrome and Opera while those still saw a bit more without the need to "Journey to the Center of the Earth" like a Vernes tale or something. Granted they wanted the new browser to function on the touchscreen as well as mouse click but where do you "tap" anything like File, Edit, View besides zooming in or out? Bookmarks, Favorites, History is now a jump list folder on the bar raither sorted out by type Unassorted, All, Bookmarks bar. etc.

You can see the need to cut the bloat to make something a bit more faster and secure but not pull a Windows 8 routine as far as stripping everything out! I did find an easy way to import bookmarks however. First you export the bookmarks in HTML format and import that into IE 11. From there Edge will import from IE only! So as long as IE is kept updated you can keep Edge updated but have fun trying to move them around or drag an address onto the bookmarks bar as you can with IE, FF, Waterfox, Cyberfox, etc.!

Addon? Didn't there were any at this time to put on. Just like 10 is seeing newer builds coming out like Threshold 2 you can expect Edge will have to seee more things added by the time the free upgrade offer is over. I suspect by the time 10 goes full retail you buy only Edge will have likely seen a few more features and options added while it still seems a bit beta to RC at this time. Edge like 10 was being introduced for us to provide feedback on as well as being the eventual full time replacement for IE. Not quite yet however.

Thanks for the heads up about importing bookmarks into Edge from IE 11. I tried importing them from an HTML file on the desktop because they would not import from Chrome , using that method Edge only imported some of the the bookmark folders but not the bookmarks inside them !

Edge seems to be improving but it's definitely got a ways to go we'll what shakes out so Chrome is still the daily driver here .

copy/cpliboard bug still not fixed for Edge with TH2... system becomes frozen/laggy easily when the copy link bug gets triggered, and it's funny how you cant copy anything system wide anymore until you force close Edge.

Also funny how you cant even edit bookmarks and there is no option to edit/alter the link, for example putting a userassword@ into it.

Well this was also something I ended up doing for VMs as well as for IE on the second desktop to import the latest collection of bookmarks into each VM as well as the physical installs having multiple browsers installed that all take FF bookmarks since Waterfox and FF share the exact same folders and bookmarks as well as everything else under different browser names as far as the latest 64bit FF 42 is concerned.

IE certainly wouldn't import them with the default "json" four digit extension on any backup. And since Edge imports direct from IE only having no option to browse anywhere you first need to update IE and then import from there. I kept running into that for each VM and finally waited until the latest were backed up and transferred over between VMs and the second remote desktop. and if your browser can back them up in the html form you are all set to go.

I found when right clicking on them now the delete option is seen as well as the second. But you will need to ssstretchhhhhh... the browser's bookmarks or Favorites bar across a second display when you have a good number of them in order to be able to switch places for the ones you want at the far left with the one buried in the dropdown extension that are like glued in place there.

With IE as well as every other browser with a bar you can click and drag a mark all the way over to bump the first! You can drop a new one by clicking and holding when dragging that over the extension and watch as that opens and scrolls down there. When dealing with a few years of accumilations it helps being able to keep things organized as well as edit which ones you want dumped.

It also has issues with scrolling on some pages - very laggy and weird.

Well, FWIW.. I use Edge on a daily basis for this forum and I have had zero issues with it. It's just a very basic, fast and stable browser.

Yup.. that covers it from my perspective..

Chrome is awesome on Windows 10 I don't know why anyone would want to say no to it.
