Just gave Waterfox a try after hearing a lot of good about it. Tried timing it on a few websites. 32 bit Fire Fox is clearly faster. Uninstalled.
When you test a browser, you need to use it for a few weeks before any real testing. It takes a while for cache and temp files to be set, as these are what speed up your browsing for going to the same sites every day. They create a "template" of the site and only pull the changes since your last visit to render the page. This uses less bandwidth and decreases load times. You can't install a browser try it out a couple of times, say it's slow and that's it

I can just tell right away it is slower or no better. It doesn't take that much to get a few sites cached up. It's startup time is no different than regular firefox or slightly slower. It's certainly not blazingly faster which i would imagine there would be hints of. I'm assuming it does everything else as well as FF. I was just doing some speed comparison since it advertises itself as fastest browser.

Found a 2014 review that compares Waterfox versus Firefox.

    Seems about what I see.

Since the upgrade to 1511 My home page now opens faster and home page certainly is a lot faster
Also because I had IE11 disabled when the upgrade went in it remembered it and know IE11 was not reinstalled.
Must say I liked it before I even like it better now.

So no chrome or FF for me or my grand daughters computers

I don't know if this has been posted yet, so if it has, just consider it a reminder:

I found a way to easily sort the shortcuts in the favorites bar.

When you do it from the bar, by dragging & dropping, it's a real fight getting them placed where you want, specially getting the ones in the drop down onto the taskbar.

I found if I open up the Hamburger Hub(favorites, reading lists, history & downloads) and
(1.) pinning it open(upper right corner),
(2.) then open the Favorites Bar folder,

    Attachment 48259

(3.) and drag & drop them in there, they can be ordered smooth as silk.

    Attachment 48260
If you find that they move around on their own after a while, try turning of the sync option, if it's on, or just keep adjusting until Windows "Learns" your preference after a few reboots/days(you will need a lot of patience)

I want to thank Jeff ( @BunnyJ ) and Donald ( @hTconeM9user ) for constantly saying how well Edge works for them. Otherwise I would have given up on it a while ago. Now it's working well and I only have one gripe left.
Something about software I learned a while ago, and if you are a true PC Geek(and not just an every day user) you'll understand this comment: If something works well for a few people but not for the rest, the rest have either software or hardware setup problems.
Besides extraction, copy and paste into Bookmarks bar folder under Favorites I ran into one solution! But you just need to sss.............tre......ch... things out a bit across three monitors depending on how many bookmarks or IE Favorites you have accumulated over time!

Microsoft: Windows 10 Users Should Say No to Chrome and Firefox-edge-how-organize-bookamarks-3-displays-required.jpg

You see there you can delete a ton of them in order to get the others you see in plain view out from the dropdown area where you can rearrange where you prefer to see them as far as the from left to right order. The problem here is not having a 3rd monitor plugged in where I can stretch things out across a 3rd display and I doubt a second Virtual desktop would help. Of course another option is bringing up the screen res way up where you will only see dots on the screen rather then being able to identify each bookmark or favorite.

Have you tried grouping logically or alphabetically in folders, then just click the folder and it drops down(mouse overing would be much better, but....)

I imported my bookmarks and favorites bar links from Chrome to IE 11 into Edge then opened Chrome in a tiled window and dragged the bookmarks bar links to the favorites bar in Edge . After you get so many in they will droop off the screen but you can still get to them in a drop down menu . I did this all on one 27" QHD screen and didn't use the 40" extended screen it worked fine .
Most of the favorites bar icons in Edge didn't transfer correctly and have a star Icon so I just gave them short names or initials .

Edge is still a train wreck for now IMO it got rushed out ,OTOH the early Windows 10 test builds were also along with 8.1 .
I like the Edge GUI though if they get it working right and stable I might use it a lot more but not likely as a default browser unless they perform miracle (s) with it .

While YMMV Chrome is *my favorite* with Firefox right behind it ,followed by IE 11 .

I tried Safari *in Windows* and a few of the W7 Opera browsers a while back in W7 x64 both struck out here . I tried some of the more obscure browsers like Maxthon,Slimbrowser , etc,etc in W 7 x64 a while back ...I was unimpressed .

Thank you for the comment glad you are now liking Edge.

Still a chrome user here. I have seen nothing to make me want to change at this point. FF is my backup browser, and has been for years.

Exactly, this is not a contest about which browser is better it's a personal choice. I like Edge at this point and I do use it for this site and other things. But I also still use FF. Variety, the spice of life.

Oh and Edge is far from a train wreck.

I just updated my ( removed and re installed ) Firefox browser from ver. 40 to 42 ( haven't used it much for ages ) it retained all the bookmarks ,I updated some of them & the favorites bar to what I have in Chrome now but Chrome will remain my default browser .

I have to say Firefox 42 is scalded dog fast and stable IMO a very good browser that could just as well be my default choice as Chrome . I will be using F/F more often along with Chrome now .

FWIW I'm in no rush to finish this session in Chrome like I would be if I were using IE 11 or Edge ☻☻

I'm sure Microsoft will like hearing that even though it ain't right yet but I do like the Edge GUI ,maybe someday it will be competitive ☻☻
