That is a very specific interpretation of a broad rule. The rule actually says

Nothing at all about posting links to leaked builds. Considering you have to activate a leaked build like any other I don't see it has anything to do with piracy at all.

Still better safe than sorry eh.
Why do you have such an issue??
And if you're so concerned report the offending thread to the powers that be and let them sort it out.

Whichever interpretation, if in doubt best to ask moderators about concrete example about it. In my experience, in these forums belonging to same group, such practice is at least frowned upon and I will not post direct links to stuff like that.

You can download the software/build ISO, but can't install it, for in the end it won't activate, therefore not genuine and illegal according to the MS EULA. So, ultimately it's considered piracy, yes?

I think that when you agree to the terms of the MS Insider Program, you agree *not* to share the builds. So, posting leaked builds is technically against the rules, and frowned on in this forum. We want legit MS links here.

Agreed, Hippsie, because that's what Microsoft says. Dunno about downloading without installing, cuz who's gonna do that!?

If I'm not mistaken, Microsoft's EULA covers test products as well as released products.

    Good morning, Simrick.

I looked for the agreement last night, but since I'm already a member, I couldn't re-sign up. However, Microsoft has a Pre-Release agreement that most of us must sign before downloading and installing Beta (Technical Preview) products. I just don't recall whether I was required to sign one for Windows 10, although I should have been and probably was. I was required to sign a new Pre-Release agreement on Microsoft Office 365 2016 only a couple of days ago.

True and agree, simrick. Leaked builds and/or links are in no way authorized by MS. Some Insiders may think that just because they're Insiders it's ok to install leaked builds.
