As I mentioned in my previous post, it is a good alternative for Rufus if you don't need UEFI install media.
And that's the problem, Kari! I do need UEFI install media.

Maybe this will help but when I upgraded to 10547 it added a recovery partition at the end of my drive. No other build has done that. Maybe this can help?

There are no major problems with Build 10547, Gary. I don't need to recover it; I only want to do a clean install to see if it will get rid of the niggles I have.

And . . . it looks like I've discovered (and Kari has confirmed) a new niggle. :)

I know Wynona I just thought that this build was the only one that added a partition to my system. All of the other builds did not. If Kari can't help you then you will have to go directly to the Head Guru at MS.:)

One thing I've noticed through all this is that every time there's a failure, Rufus is "Requesting Disk Access"; however, in Windows 10 RTM, once I clicked on Start, it started almost instantaneously.

Just one more thing to throw into the mix.

I'm going to do a clean install on Lappy 17 and see if there are any changes. Now that I have 10547 on bootable USB. :)

Something common in Wynona's and my case is that Rufus refused to work on build 10547. Anyone volunteering to test this, if you have 10547 try using Rufus and see if you get it working or get the same error than we?

Results of the clean install of Build 10547 - Success

Which means Rufus and Windows 10 RTM are compatible . . .

The next step (obviously) is that I'll try to create a USB stick with that install and see what happens.

My 10547 usb made from rufus 2.3 works fine. Except my usb is 8gb, iso convert from esd using decrypt.cmd. :)
